Learning from those who protect.
A few weeks ago, THP had the privilege of hosting the Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal – Sashastra Prahari Bal for a full-day fire safety training, combining valuable orientation with practical, hands-on demonstrations for our artisans and staff.
The APF officer Sanju Khattri, seen guiding the program, teaching us how to protect lives is the same person now on the frontlines in Rasuwa, courageously helping save lives during the floods.
As Nepal faced devastating floods, we saw this team of brave men and women relentlessly on the frontlines working tirelessly to rescue and support those affected.
It reminded us that the people who teach us how to protect lives are also the ones who fearlessly step forward to save them.
We were also honoured by the presence of SP Kiran Kumar Kathayat, whose encouragement meant a great deal to our team.
To the Armed Police Force of Nepal — thank you for your courage, resilience and service to our nation. We are proud to call you the real heroes of Nepal.

For 3 years, has printed her illustrations, calendars and notebooks on our paper. Handmade stock isn't easy to print on — uneven texture, shifting absorbency, nothing perfectly flat. Most printers see that as a flaw. Illustrators see it as the reason they choose handmade in the first place.
Our printers are set up specifically to work with the paper we make here. And honestly? Watching what people create with it after it leaves us is the best part of the job.

Every colour here started out as bark, rind, husk, or leaf.
Kusum, pomegranate, walnut, indigo, khaer - five plants, five colours, no shortcuts. Some are boiled for hours. Some ferment in a vat and shift colour right in front of you. Nothing here came out of a bottle.No synthetic dye. No shortcut mordants. Just plants, water, and time. Azo-free colours also available for clients who need exact colour matching across large runs.
