The densely populated area was once full of entrepreneurs. Around two decades ago, the market was well famous in many ways:
1. Presence of Police Station which overlooked various other adjacent places like fikkal, tinghare, maghe, suntale etc.
2. Zonal Aurvedic Hospital
3. Relay Telephone tower for the region
4. First boarding school Kankai Boarding - students (day-scholars and boarders) from far areas like Pashupatinagar, Jhapa, Godak etc used to study
5. Collection center of Milk for the farmers of the area
6. Vet Clinic of the region
7. Grocery and provisional shops around. Also on every SUNDAY was special day, where there used to be a densely crowed market to facilitate exchange of goods and services around the region
9. Rice Mill for the region
10. Diesel electricity generation
11. Drinking water supply through the pipeline and its office
12. Fishery in the pond etc
There were much more than this in the living style of the people who relied much more on agriculture.
