Mirkot (मिरकोट) is a village in Gorkha District in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal. It lies on the south-western side of Headquarter of Gorkha District. It used to be a standalone village development committee before 2073 BS. In 2071 BS, 4 VDC's (chyan
gli, Gaikhur, Palungtar, Aampipal) are merged and then after implementation of the Provincial Rule 3 VDC's (Mirkot, Dhuwakot and Khoplang) are merged and formed a New Palungtar Municipality. Now Mirkot is divided in two wards of Palungtar Municipality i.e ward no. 9 and 10. It's nearby villages are Gaikhur, Dhuwakot, Khoplang, Chyangli, Deurali, Chhoprak and Gorkha Municipality.
