Warm Greetings Everyone,

The Leo Club of Dharan Ghopa successfully conducted an Orientation Program for Batch 2026 on 9th June 2026 (Tuesday) at LT-2 Hall, BPKIHS. The program was a great success, with the enthusiastic participation of nearly 60 juniors from various streams including MBBS, BDS, B.Sc. Nursing, and Allied Sciences.

The program commenced at 6:50 PM with a warm welcome by the host, followed by the Leo Pledge led by our Joint Secretary. The orientation session continued with informative presentations introducing the juniors to the vision, objectives, opportunities, and activities of Leoism and the Leo Club of Dharan Ghopa.

We were honored by the gracious presence of our distinguished guests:

* Immediate Past President, Leo Rupesh Kumar Mandal (LY 24/25)
* Immediate Past Secretary, Leo Kabita Bhusal (LY 24/25)

A special segment of the program was dedicated to Prize and Certificate Distribution, where certificates were awarded to volunteers of the School Health Program and Life Sprint: Leo 5 Km Run. Furthermore, winners of the Online Poster Competition and Badminton Tournament were honored with certificates and medals respectively.

The program concluded with a closing speech by Membership In-Charge (LY 25/26), Leo Bijay Kumar Yadav, followed by refreshments for the juniors.

This successful event was made possible through the immense dedication, coordination, and hard work of our Leo members. Special appreciation goes to:

The Leo Club of Dharan Ghopa is delighted to announce the successful completion of the Online Poster Competition 2026, organized with the aim of promoting awareness regarding cancer prevention, early detection, and healthy lifestyles under the theme of World Cancer Day – “United by Unique.”

The competition received enthusiastic participation from students of various academic backgrounds who showcased their creativity, awareness, and dedication through meaningful poster presentations. The winners were selected based on 60% social media engagement (likes, comments, and shares) and 40% evaluation by an impartial judging panel.

Warm leo greetings!
A health teaching program on the topic “Cervical Cancer” was successfully conducted at Shree Madhyamik Vidyalaya with the objective of creating awareness among students regarding cervical cancer and its prevention by leo club of dharan, ghopa. The teaching session was provided by the involvement of four junior students of the 2026 batch.

The session included information about the meaning, causes, risk factors, signs and symptoms, preventive measures, and treatment of cervical cancer. Special emphasis was given to the importance of HPV vaccination, personal hygiene, healthy lifestyle practices, and regular screening for early detection.

The teaching aids used during the program were visual and verbal communication methods. A digital screen was used as the visual aid to present slides and important information, while explanation and interaction with students were carried out through verbal communication. These methods helped make the teaching session clear, interactive, and easy to understand.

At the end of the program, a quiz competition was conducted to evaluate the understanding of the participants regarding the topic. The students actively participated in the quiz and demonstrated good knowledge gained from the session.

Overall, the health teaching program was informative, effective, and successful in increasing awareness about cervical cancer among the students.

Reporting on Movie Show Program

The Leo Club of Dharan Ghopa successfully organized a movie show program on 15th May 2026 at the auditorium of B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 133 students of the 2026 batch along with active volunteers from the Leo Club.

Although the program was scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM, it officially commenced at 5:00 PM with a warm welcoming session for all participants. The atmosphere throughout the event remained lively and cheerful. During the movie interval, snacks were provided to the students, and several entertaining games were conducted which added excitement and engagement among the audience.

Following the fun activities, the second half of the movie was screened, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone present. At the end of the program, students shared their reviews and experiences regarding the event. A lucky draw session was also organized using the registered participant numbers, where one lucky student received a special gift.

Finally, the event concluded with a memorable photo session, capturing the joyful moments shared among the students and organizers. The program was a great success and created a refreshing and enjoyable environment for all participants.

Warm greeting everyone!

Our Leo Club of Dharan Ghopa successfully conducted a Health screening program in collaboration with Department of General Practice and Emergency Medicine of BPKIHS at Sangurigadhi Rural municipality, Dhankuta on may 9,2026.

Our team departed from Ghopa at 8:00 AM, and the health camp was conducted from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. During the camp, around 100 local people were screened and provided with:
• General health check-up
• Hypertension (HTN) screening
• Diabetes Mellitus (DM) screening
• Body Mass Index (BMI) assessment
• Vibration Perception Test
• Free distribution of medicines

The program was conducted in a very positive and supportive environment with active participation from the local community.

A closing program was organized at the end of the event where all contributors were awarded certificates of appreciation from the club.

The team departed from venue for BPKIHS at 5:00 PM after successfully completing the program.

Warm greetings Leos!!

The Zonal Meeting of Zone IV was successfully held on Saturday, April 11, at Hotel Mandala, Itahari 2 Bargacchi. The program was organized by Zone IV and hosted by Leo Club of Dharan Ghopa.
The meeting was graced by the presence of respected personalities including Leo Amar dip Poudel( Zone IV Chairperson), the Presidents of Leo Club of Itahari Pathibhara and Leo Club of Itahari City, along with other distinguished leo members.
The program formally commenced with a call to order by the Zone IV Chairperson. Following the opening session, reports from various clubs were presented and submitted. Important discussions were held regarding district dues and effective reporting of club activities through the Lions Portal.
Emphasis was given on active participation in the upcoming 3rd Council Meeting and the 4th District Convention. Additionally, discussions were carried out regarding candidacy for Multiple District President.
An interactive session titled “A Cup of Tea with the President” was also highlighted, aiming to strengthen communication and leadership bonding. Information regarding minute writing and proposal training was also shared for capacity building among members.
The meeting concluded on a positive note with valuable insights, coordination, and encouragement for future activities.
