Nagarkot is one of the nearest and most famous hills in Kathmandu. It is a village located about 36 km east of Kathmandu Valley. It is at an elevation of close to 2,165 m above sea level. As one of the most scenic spots in the region, Nagarkot is famous for its sunrise views of the Himalayas.
You can observe Mt. Everest with its snow-topped peaks and an overlook tower at the top of the village’s hills. Bhaktapur Durbar Square
Bhaktapur Durbar Square contains many showpieces of art, architecture, and historical monuments. Among them, we are going to discover some of the significant sites. We can observe a collection of pagodas and Shikhara-style temples.
One temple encompasses a 55-Window Palace made of brick and wood. This durbar square highlights the idols of ancient kings resting on top of stone monoliths. Not only that, the guardian divinities looking out from their shrines and the wood carvings seem to form a well-orchestrated symphony.
