Api Nampa Conservation Area, in short ANCA, declared as protected area in 2010 had been named after two peaks(Api and Nampa), is bio-physically diverse protected area representing subtropical to alpine climatic zones of far west Nepal. Situated in Darchula district of far western region of Nepal, covering 1903 sq.km. (then 21 VDCs currently 5 rural municipalities and part of 1 municipality viz; 2 wards of Mahakali municipality) is an integral part of the Kailash Sacred Landscape(2012) and its landscape level conservation and development initiative.
