On 23 Feb 2026, from 09:00 AM to 01:00 PM, a Capacity Building Mental Health Workshop targeting Tourist Police personnel was successfully conducted under the coordination of the British Embassy Kathmandu. The primary objective of the program was to strengthen the capacity of frontline police personnel in understanding mental health issues, managing stress effectively, and responding appropriately to mental health concerns among foreign nationals. The training session was facilitated by renowned psychiatrist Dr. Prabhakar Pokhrel (MBBS, MD Psychiatry).

Following his verbal complaint at this office, a police team was deployed to trace the mobile phone location. During the investigation and search operation, the missing device was successfully located and recovered.The recovered mobile phone was safely handed over to the rightful owner, SHANG YUAN.

On 8 February 2026, the Chinese Embassy organized a “Consular Service Face to Face” program at Temple Bell Boutique Hotel, Lakeside, Pokhara. The program targeted Chinese nationals and tourists in Pokhara. Police Inspector Ms. Harimaya Thapa, Chief of the Tourist Police Office, Pokhara, briefed participants on legal business procedures, code of conduct for foreign nationals, illegal stay, and various crimes including cybercrime , sexual offenses, marriage and child marriage, child sexual abuse, human trafficking and drug-related crimes.

On 05 Feb2026 at 23:10 hours, Tourist Police office Pokhara received information by telephone regarding the loss of NPR 5,500, USD 100, and Thai currency 500 belonging to Thai national Miss Supatra Lilan (Passport No. AC3037990) at Lakeside, Street No. 8, Ward No. 6, Pokhara Metropolitan City, Kaski District. On 2 February 2026, at approximately 20:30 hours, a USA citizen, Emmanuel Seke Godo (Passport No. A11518138), while traveling by InDrive taxi (Ga 1 Ja 5109) from Amardeep to Lakeside Hallanchowk, accidentally left a black bag in the taxi. The bag contained NPR 32,085, a passport, books, a diary, a driving license, and an ATM card.The bag was found by the taxi driver, Dwarika Pant (9826197299), and submitted to this office. After establishing contact, the bag and its contents were handed over to the rightful owner.

On 30 January 2026 at 12:57 PM, an Indian national named Aruchamy Vignesh (age 35), Passport No. C1598157 found in a sick condition at Jarewar Chowk, Ward No. 6, Pokhara Metropolitan City, Kaski District. Upon receiving the information, the Tourist Police immediately responded and safely rescued the individual and transported him to A&B International Hospital, Pokhara (Contact No.: 9804163734) for necessary medical treatment. Coordination was made with his family in India, and his father, Aruchamy Kuniyamuthur Palaniyappan, Passport No. Y2017154 (+91 9943413795), was brought to Nepal. After treatment, 31 January 2026 at 6:30 PM, he was discharged from the hospital and handed over to the responsibility of his father.”

Upon conducting the necessary investigation and search by this office, the said bag was found and deposited at this office.
