Earlier this month, IOM’s Norwegian Cultural Orientation Programme brought together a team of experienced cross-cultural facilitators supporting the integration of refugees into 🇳🇴 society in for the End-of-Year Seminar and the Training of Trainers.

Over three days of presentations, discussions, and interactive sessions, participants reflected on the achievements and lessons of 2025, while setting priorities for 2026. Crucially, the event also included Integrerings- og mangfoldsdirektoratet - IMDi, Norwegian municipalities, former Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) participants, and representatives of Helsedirektoratet and Direktoratet for høyere utdanning og kompetanse. Participants exchanged experiences, identified key areas for growth, and further strengthened the delivery of country information seminars to municipalities and pre-departure orientation for quota refugees.

Thank you to all facilitators, partners, and participants for your engagement, expertise, and continued commitment to this important project. 👏

Three pledges from Norway include:
- Agder County/ Agder fylkeskommune – strengthening inclusion through Welcome Hub Agder
- Arendal Municipality/ Arendal kommune – fostering dialogue and trust through “People Meet People”
- Rana Municipality/ Rana kommune – supporting labour integration of international workers through an e-course

The pledges will be presented at a high-level IMRF side event tomorrow 8 May at the UN Headquarters.
