Following the recent elections, the new committee brings together early-career medical physicists from across Europe, representing different backgrounds, countries, and areas of expertise, with the shared goal of strengthening collaboration and connection within the medical physics community.
πΈ Matteo Galetto (Convenor) β Clinical medical physicist at Policlinico Gemelli in Rome, with interests in radiotherapy, MR-Linac, quantitative MRI, and international collaboration.
πΈ Maria Steinberger (Vice-Convenor) β Head of Medical Physics (Radiology) at LMU University Hospital Munich, focused on medical imaging physics, AI in radiology, and radiation protection.
πΈ Virginia Piva (Secretary) β Medical physics resident in Italy, interested in AI, automation in radiotherapy, quantitative imaging, and science communication.
πΈ Miia Hurskainen β Medical Physicist Expert from Finland working in radiation therapy and theranostics, passionate about education and international collaboration.
πΈ HenriΓ«tte Kuipers β Medical physics resident in The Netherlands with interests in imaging, neonatal MRS, IVF optimization, and clinical innovation.
π Over the coming years, the EC SIG aims to promote networking opportunities, educational initiatives, collaborations with national young groups, and projects supporting professional growth across Europe.
