🥇 Celebrating a Ghanaian Champion! 🇬🇭

On Friday, 12th June 2026, The Embassy of Ghana in The Hague was honoured to receive Mr. Daniel Wadieh, the newly crowned IMMAF African Champion, in recognition of his remarkable achievement and outstanding representation of Ghana on the continental stage.

Daniel’s accomplishment is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through perseverance, discipline, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. At a time when young Ghanaians are making their mark across diverse fields around the world, his success stands as an inspiration to pursue ambition with courage and determination, while proudly carrying the values and aspirations of the nation.

The Embassy, led by HE Eddison Mensah Agbenyegah, commends Daniel for flying the Ghanaian flag high and wishes him continued success as he pursues even greater heights in his sporting career.

On Saturday, 6 June 2026, the Embassy of Ghana in The Hague organised a Mobile Consular Service in Utrecht for residents of the city and surrounding communities. Services provided included passport and visa applications, as well as other consular assistance.

More than 40 applicants were served during the outreach, with many describing the initiative as timely, convenient, and the first of its kind in the city.

The Utrecht outreach was the Embassy’s second Mobile Consular Service in 2026, following a successful exercise in Amsterdam in May. Ghana’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, H.E. Eddison Mensah Agbenyegah, Deputy Head of Mission, Prof. Emmanuel Netsey-Afedo, and Head of Consular, Mrs. Priscilla Ankomah, reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to expanding the initiative across the Netherlands to bring consular services closer to Ghanaians and other clients.

On 6 June 2026, the Embassy of Ghana in The Hague, led by H.E. Eddison Mensah Agbenyegah, held a Town Hall Meeting with the Ghanaian community in Utrecht.

Discussions focused on issues affecting Ghanaians in the diaspora, including dual nationality, access to the Ghana Card, exports to Ghana, and opportunities for investment and national development.

The Ambassador reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to the welfare of Ghanaians abroad and encouraged the diaspora to continue contributing their ideas, expertise, and resources towards Ghana’s progress.

All is set for the Embassy of Ghana’s Mobile Consular Service in Utrecht on Saturday, 6 June 2026.

Consular services, including passport and visa applications, travel certificates, and other consular assistance, will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

This will be followed by a Town Hall Meeting with the Ghanaian community from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

We warmly invite all members of the Ghanaian community in Utrecht and surrounding areas to participate.

NEXT STEPS ON REPARATIONS

Ghana will host a landmark High-Level Consultative Conference on the Next Steps to the United Nations Resolution on the Trafficking of Enslaved Africans from 17–19 June 2026 in Accra.

Under the leadership of H.E. John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana and AU Champion for Advancing the Cause of Justice and the Payment of Reparations, the conference will bring together stakeholders to translate the historic UN Resolution into actionable commitments for a just and equitable world order.

The Embassy of Ghana in The Hague invites members of the Ghanaian community in Utrecht and surrounding areas to a Town Hall Meeting on Saturday, 6 June 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Ahead of the meeting, the Embassy’s Consular Team will provide Mobile Consular Services from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., offering passport and visa services, travel certificates, and other consular assistance.

The Embassy delegation will be led by H.E. Eddison Mensah Agbenyegah, Ambassador of Ghana to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen engagement with the Ghanaian community and promote opportunities for national development through the diaspora.

All community members are warmly encouraged to participate.

On 9 May 2026, the Embassy of Ghana in The Hague, led by H.E. Eddison Mensah Agbenyegah, held a Town Hall Meeting with members of the Ghanaian community in Amsterdam and surrounding areas at the Pentecost Revival Church in Amsterdam South-East.

The Ambassador reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to the welfare of Ghanaians in the Netherlands and underscored the importance of regular engagement to strengthen communication and collaboration with the community. He also encouraged Ghanaians with skills and expertise to contribute to Ghana’s development.

The engagement was followed by a three-day Mobile Consular Service in Amsterdam from 14–16 May 2026, during which the Embassy processed applications for visas, passports, and other consular services.

The next Town Hall Meeting and Mobile Consular Service will take place in Utrecht on 6 June 2026.

As part of its ongoing community engagement efforts, the Embassy of Ghana in The Hague, under the leadership of H.E. Ambassador Eddison Mensah Agbenyegah, participated in the Mother’s Day Jazz & Liveband Special held at the ZoJazz Stage in Amsterdam on Sunday, 10th May 2026.

The event brought together members of the Ghanaian community, as well as patrons of Ghanaian music and culture, for an evening of live performances and cultural celebration.

Celebrated highlife musician Queen Asabea Cropper and Kenteman thrilled patrons with performances that showcased the richness of Ghana’s musical heritage.

Following the event, Queen Asabea Cropper paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador, H.E. Eddison Agbenyegah, further reflecting the strong bond between the Embassy and Ghanaian cultural icons who continue to promote Ghana’s image and heritage abroad.
