H.E. Ambassador Syed Haider Shah attends the Eid Milan gathering organized by the Pakistani Professionals Community in Groningen.

While addressing the gathering, Ambassador Shah praised the Pakistani community for its valuable contributions to the development and prosperity of the northern Netherlands, particularly through its role in the Dutch knowledge economy. He also commended the community’s efforts in promoting a positive image of Pakistan and people-to-people exchanges between Pakistan and the Netherlands.

The gathering provided a good opportunity for meaningful community engagement and featured Pakistani musical performances, lively interactions, and a rich display of traditional Pakistani cuisine.

The Pakistani community expressed their appreciation for the Embassy’s participation and its continued outreach to the diaspora living in the northern Netherlands.

"اللہ تعالیٰ ہمیں اس عظیم مذہبی تہوار کی خوشیوں اور جذبہ ایثار و قربانی کی حقیقی روح سے بہرہ مند فرمائے۔ عید کا روحانی موقع اس امر کا بھی متقاضی ہے کہ ہم انفرادی اور اجتماعی سطح پر اپنے گرد و نواح میں تنگ دست، غرباء اور مستحق افراد کا خصوصی طور پر خیال کریں اور عید کی خوشیوں میں انکو شامل حال رکھیں۔ یہ عید ہمیں عظیم الشان سنت ابراہیمی کی یاد دلاتی ہے جو حضرت ابراہیم علیہ السلام کی حکم الٰہی کے سامنے مکمل سپردگی اور حضرت اسماعیل علیہ السلام کی بے مثال اطاعت و فرمانبرداری کا روشن استعارہ ہے۔ یہ مقدس سنت ہمیں یہ درس دیتی ہے کہ اعلی اور مقدس مقصد کے لیے اپنی جان، خواہشات اور مفادات قربان کر دینا ہی اصل میں ایمان کی معراج اور اہل وفا کا طرۂ امتیاز ہے۔ مادر وطن کے دفاع اور دہشت گردی کے واقعات میں جان قربان کرنے والے شہداء کی قربانی, ہمارا قومی فخر ہے۔ جذبہ ایثار اور اتحاد و یگانگت ہی قوموں کی زندگی میں دائمی یکجہتی اور پائیدار ترقی کا ضامن ہے۔"

H.E. Ambassador Syed Haider Shah offered Eid-ul-Adha prayer at Pakistan Islamic Center Rotterdam.

While conveying Eid greetings, Ambassador Shah said that Eid-ul -Adha is a time that reminds us of the enduring values of faith, sacrifice, empathy, compassion, and solidarity. It is also an opportunity to renew the bonds of friendship, mutual respect, and shared understanding among our communities. He urged the community members to follow the principles of unity, faith and discipline in their lives and play their important role in all spheres of Dutch society.

Ambassador Syed Haider Shah visited the headquarters of ARMA Leder in Badhoevedorp together with the Trade & Investment Counsellor and met Mr. Ara Avedisian, Chief Supply Chain Officer.

The meeting focused on opportunities for expanding Pakistan–Netherlands cooperation in the leather and apparel sector. ARMA Leder acknowledged Pakistan’s competitiveness in leather manufacturing, particularly in high quality leather jackets and apparel products, supported by competitive production costs and established export capabilities.

Discussions also explored prospects for deeper industrial collaboration, including potential joint venture investment opportunities with Pakistani partners.

The Embassy continues to engage actively with Dutch companies to promote trade, investment, and integration of Pakistani manufacturers into European value chains.

Pakistaanse ambassadeur reikt de civiele onderscheiding “Sitara-i-Imtiaz” uit aan Z.E. de heer Ronald Ton, Founding Director van de Clingendael Academie in Nederland

Namens de president van de Islamitische Republiek Pakistan heeft Zijne Excellentie ambassadeur Syed Haider Shah vandaag de civiele onderscheiding “Sitara-i-Imtiaz” uitgereikt aan Zijne Excellentie de heer Ronald Ton, Founding Director van de Clingendael Academie in Nederland, tijdens een investituurceremonie in Pakistan House.

Tijdens de ceremonie feliciteerde ambassadeur Shah de heer Ton met het ontvangen van deze prestigieuze onderscheiding, als erkenning voor zijn uitzonderlijke bijdrage aan de betrekkingen tussen Pakistan en Nederland. Ambassadeur Shah prees zijn verdienstelijke diensten en omschreef de heer Ton als een grote vriend van Pakistan, die gedurende de afgelopen twee decennia een voortrekkersrol heeft gespeeld bij het bevorderen van de bilaterale samenwerking op het gebied van diplomatieke capaciteitsopbouw.

In zijn toespraak sprak de heer Ton zijn diepe dankbaarheid uit aan de president van Pakistan voor het toekennen van de “Sitara-i-Imtiaz”. Terugblikkend op zijn uitwisselingen met jonge Pakistaanse diplomaten, beschreef hij het lopende programma voor diplomatieke capaciteitsopbouw als een van de succesverhalen binnen de historische betrekkingen tussen Pakistan en Nederland.

De hoofdgast van de ceremonie, Z.E. de heer Christian Rebergen, secretaris-generaal van het ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken van het Koninkrijk der Nederlanden, bedankte de regering van Pakistan voor het decoreren van de heer Ton met deze prestigieuze civiele onderscheiding. Hij voegde daaraan toe dat Nederland grote waarde hecht aan zijn historische en langdurige betrekkingen met Pakistan.

De ceremonie werd bijgewoond door de decaan van het diplomatieke corps, hoge diplomaten, hooggeplaatste functionarissen en vertegenwoordigers van de media uit Pakistan en Nederland.
