100 éves a holland-magyar barátság egyik szimbóluma, a budapesti Julianna Iskola 🇳🇱🇭🇺
Az intézmény az első világháború utáni holland segítségnyújtásnak köszönhetően nyitotta meg kapuit 1926. szeptember 13-án Henrik van Colijn holland miniszterelnök, Klebelsberg Kunó kultuszminiszter és Ravasz László püspök jelenlétében, nevét pedig a köszönet jeléül kapta Julianna holland trónörökösről, később uralkodóról. A virágzó iskolát az 1948-as államosítás elvette a közösségtől, viszont a rendszerváltás után, 1992-ben a Budapest-Fasori Református Egyházközség kitartó munkájával és Godert Willem de Vos van Steenwijk akkori holland nagykövet aktív támogatásával újraindulhatott a tanítás.
A kezdeti egyetlen 24 fős osztályból mára óvodától a gimnáziumig ívelő, több száz diákot nevelő intézmény formálódott. Hálás szívvel gondolunk az elmúlt évszázadra és a holland-magyar barátság élő szimbólumára.
Magyarországon és Hollandiában is megemlékeznek az iskola évszázados múltjáról. A Fasori Református Kollégium Julianna Gimnáziuma és Általános Iskolája és Csipkebokor Óvodája szeptember 13–14-én Budapesten, a Zwollei magyar református istentiszteletek szeptember 13-án Hollandiában szervez ünnepi szimpóziumot.

100 years of a symbol of Dutch-Hungarian friendship: Budapest's Julianna School 🇳🇱🇭🇺
Thanks to Dutch relief efforts following World War I, the institution opened its doors on September 13, 1926, in the presence of Dutch Prime Minister Hendrikus Colijn, Hungarian Minister of Education Kunó Klebelsberg, and Bishop László Ravasz. Out of gratitude, the school was named after Princess Juliana, the Dutch heir apparent and later Queen. Although the thriving school was confiscated by the communist regime during the 1948 nationalization, teaching resumed in 1992 following the fall of communism. This was made possible through the dedication of the Budapest-Fasori congregation and the active support of Godert Willem de Vos van Steenwijk, the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Hungary at the time.
From a single starting class of 24 pupils, the institution has grown into a vibrant educational center educating hundreds of students from kindergarten all the way to high school. We look back with happiness on the past century and this living symbol of Dutch-Hungarian friendship.
The centennial will be celebrated in both Hungary and the Netherlands. The Julianna School, Primary School, and Csipkebokor Kindergarten of the Budapest-Fasor Reformed College will hold events on September 13–14 in Budapest, while the Presbytery of the Zwolle Congregation will host a celebratory symposium on September 13 in the Netherlands.
