Distinguished Speaker Series on the Law and Dynamics of Sustainability: The Case of Palm Oil, 11 September 2026

On 11 September 2026, the Embassy organised the inaugural Distinguished Speaker Series, entitled “The Law and Dynamics of Sustainability: The Case of Palm Oil” at the Chancery. The event was graced by two distinguished academicians from Malaysia: Dr Helena Varkkey, the Prince Claus Chair in Equity and Development at the International Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam (ISS), and Dr Siti Hafsyah Idris, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, UiTM.

In essence, the event aimed to deepen understanding of the global palm oil sector from political and legal perspectives, set against Malaysia's broader policy and certification responses, particularly within the context of the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) standards.

Following the substantive presentations and engaging Q&A session, the audience was treated to a delicious nasi lemak lunch!

Kedutaan Malaysia di The Hague berbesar hati dapat hadir memberi sokongan 🙌 dan menyaksikan sendiri kejayaan Pasukan Para Hoki ID Malaysia (Malaysia Para Hockey ID Team) meraih Pingat Gangsa 🥉 pada Kejohanan Sulung Piala Dunia Para Hoki ID (FIH Para Hockey ID World Cup) 2026, selepas kemenangan cemerlang menentang Belgium 🇧🇪 dalam perlawanan penentuan gangsa di Amstelveen, Belanda 🇳🇱.

Wakil Kedutaan, termasuk En. Mohd Ishrin bin Mohd Ishak, Kuasa Usaha Sementara turut hadir untuk memberi sokongan, termasuk pada perlawanan yang membawa kepada kejayaan ini. Kegembiraan 😊 dan kebanggaan ❤️ jelas terpancar di kalangan atlet, jurulatih, ibu bapa dan penyokong yang hadir.

Congratulations 🎊 to Malaysia Para Hockey ID Team on securing the bronze medal 🥉 at the inaugural FIH Para Hockey ID World Cup 2026! The Embassy of Malaysia in The Hague was honoured to attend and support the team during their matches, including this hard-fought bronze medal win against Belgium 🇧🇪.

This achievement reflects the dedication 💪, resilience and spirit of every player, coach, and official involved. Congratulations also to the parents and support team who stood by them throughout. 👏

We are Top 3 on the world..

Alhamduillah dan syukur kepada semua pengurusan, jurulatih, ibubapa dan terutama sekali kepada semua anak-anak istimewa kita yang berjaya mencapai kejayaan sehingga mendapat tempat ke 3 di Kejohanan Sulung Piala Dunia Para Hoki yang berlangsung di Belgium dan Belanda.

Semua usaha keras yang dijalani oleh Pasukan Hoki ID Malaysia sejak Disember 2026 berjaya membuahkan hasil. Walaupun pelbagai rintangan dan halangan dihadapi pasukan ini baik dari pelbagai segi termasuk kekurangan dari kewangan. Namun anak-anak ini telah membuktikan sesuatu yang tidak ada yang mustahil bagi mereka.

Teruskan sokongan anda semua kepada pasukan Hoki ID Malaysia. Terima kasih kepada semua sponsor, pihak kedutaan Malaysia di The Hague dan penyokong Malaysia yang hadir memberi sokongan pada pasukan ini.

Leiden University Embassy Morning Programme, 19 August 2026

On 19 August 2026, the Embassy of Malaysia had the pleasure of welcoming 12 students from Leiden University, under the 'Embassy Morning' programme. This is the second year running that the Embassy has participated in the session, hosted in conjunction with the Hague Orientation Programme (HOP).

The students were briefed on Malaysia and its foreign policy, bilateral ties between Malaysia and the Netherlands, and the role of the Embassy in The Hague. Besides questions on Malaysia's economic composition and regional politics, the Q&A also touched on life in the foreign service - ranging from the daily running of a foreign service officer to managing cross-cultural transitions.

Meet-Up with SMK Seri Kota Hockey Team (SSN Predator), 18 August 2026

On 18 August 2026, the Embassy of Malaysia - led by CDA a.i. Mr Mohd Ishrin Mohd Ishak - met up with teachers and students from SMK Seri Kota, Melaka (SSN Predator), who are here for the U-16 Boys category at the World Hockey Youth Festival in Amsterdam on 21 and 22 August 2026.

📢 Come support our Malaysian youth hockey team! 🇲🇾

This Friday and Saturday, SMK Seri Kota, Melaka (SSN Predator) will be competing in the U-16 Boys category at the World Hockey Youth Festival in Amsterdam!

They will play two matches on Friday (21 August) at 3:15pm and 7:00pm, and one match on Saturday (22 August) at 12:45pm. All games will be played at HC Athena, Amsterdam (Voorlandpad 13, 1098 TZ Amsterdam).
