Dear friends and supporters,

Thank you for casting during the election. Chia Yu Wu has gotten 95 votes, positioning at 18th seat. This result is not good enough to win a seat in the uni council as we have expected, however, we already show to the whole community of Erasmus that issues related to s*xual assaults, LGBT rights and s*xual health cannot be ignored. Dear friends and supporters, thank you for your participation in the election and campaign. In the future, Chia Yu Wu will keep an eye on the way the university deals with the relevant cases and stands with those who are marginalised. Let us supervise the university together and let justice always prevail.

As what I have promoted in my campaign, if I were to be elected as a member of university council, I will start emphasising the importance of intersectionality. We are in a such democratic and liberal society; however, this kind of incident still happened in our daily life. Therefore, mutual understanding is super important! We cannot change one's mind and ideology he or she beholds, but everyone should be aware of respecting each another no matter what identity they embrace!

A homophobic incident occured Thursday evening in Amsterdam East, as a gay man was stabbed with a shard of glass by a 14-year old.

⚠️Sexual health⚠️ among the university students is often ignored by the school ❗️More condoms and saying are not helpful at all ✖️✖️✖️! It is especially crucial for us to contemplate how to protect our s*xual health after the outbreak of coronavirus ❤️😘! Students! I back you up! 💪If I were to be elected as a member of Uni Council, I would aim to request the university to provide more workshops, allowing all of us to be well-equipped with good knowledge of a safe s*x! Besides, for those who are physically and mentally influenced by coronavirus 💔could seek for help with confidentiality to go back to the right tack of their lives 😄

What is intersectionality❓

If I were to be elected as a part of Uni Council, I will try my best to create a more and more friendly surroundings for the marginalised groups to have as much support as they can have when having insecurity. 💓

It is also super important to understand that any university could subtly move to be more hierarchical such as admitting students based on their social status, glorious international background etc etc... ✖️✖️✖️Being international and having high social status are merits, but necessities! ⭕️⭕️

Instead, we need to understand, respect and embrace intersectionality, intersectionality is diversity!!! 🌈

We need a functional SIAG committee who actually DO work! What is consent? We need impartial judgment! WORK or QUIT your job! We need to create a better surroundings for everyone to study safely!

The alleged perpetrator is said to have left his bedsit at Stadhuisplein ‘in consultation with EUC’ so as to prevent a confrontation with the victim.
