We’re proud to announce a new chapter in international education in Haarlemmermeer.
From August 2026, Optimist International School and Haarlemmermeer Lyceum Tweetalig (bilingual) will open Optimist International Academy (OIA) — an international school for students aged 4 to 18.
Supported by the school boards Dunamare Onderwijs and Floreer Onderwijs en Opvang, and by the Municipality of Haarlemmermeer, OIA brings local and international learners together in a community where perspectives, cultures and languages meet naturally.
From primary to secondary, OIA will form one connected international community in Hoofddorp.

With a strong focus on multilingualism and inclusion, we celebrate diversity and value every language as a bridge between cultures.
Based in Hoofddorp’s Floriande district, OIA Secondary will be located within Haarlemmermeer Lyceum Tweetalig on Baron de Coubertinlaan, while OIA Primary will continue to grow in the same neighbourhood.
📍 Opening August 2026 with the first two years of the international secondary programme (11–13), building on the existing primary programme (ages 4–11).
📅 Admissions for the 2026–2027 school year are now open. Applications will be processed from January onwards. Admissions for Primary for the current school year are processed immediately.
