Dutch language course is consisted of regular Dutch lessons (level A0-A1 and level A1-A2). During the course you get two tests and at the end of the course you receive your diploma. A1 course consists of 16 and A2 of 18 lessons. Each lesson takes 2h 15min. The duration of the course is optimized for obtaining A1 and A2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Pr
ivate lessons are available upon request. Why is our Dutch course unique? Because we develop our own exercises and share tips and tricks about learning the Dutch language. We apply innovative and creative teaching methods. We work in small groups and we organize additional activities and conversation lessons to support your learning process. What are the results of the course? Our students understand the language, have the grammar in their little finger and they are able to make talks in Dutch. The course creates an excellent base for further development of your knowledge of Dutch, either you want to go for the integration exam, study on your own or take some advanced course. We have specific focus on developing of your speaking skills. In the cases that students experience difficulties in their learning process, their struggle with motivation to learn or with the fear to speak Dutch in public we approach the students individually and help them with these issues. Working in small groups enables us to give enough attention to each student individually during the lessons and if needed, outside of it. We have enough time for all your questions and uncertainties. It has been proven that working in small groups makes it possible for the students and a teacher to create a positive and inspiring sphere for learning, supporting each other and sharing. Why do we do this? Because we experienced the same as you do now: once we were new in The Netherlands and we had to learn Dutch too. We now know how the language can be thought on another innovative way and still combined with some good old teaching methods. We went through the same challenges as you might experience now: not being able to fully participate in the Dutch society and use its opportunities, feeling embarrassed and less worth, not being able to find a job, having professional and educational ambitions that we could not reach without a good command of the Dutch language etc. Those experiences we combine with our professional skills to work with people and to teach. We operate at several locations: the book store “Books 4 Life”, the Vredesburo (Peace Office Eindhoven) and the Global Village@Inkijkmuseum.
“Find Your Way Around in The Netherlands” is a program for empowerment of newcomers. Its purpose is to enable you to achieve a good command of the Dutch language and awareness about the possibilities that your new environment offers. Our language and empowerment coaching program offers a unique formula for successful beginning in the Netherlands. It is realized with support of the Vredesburo and in cooperation with the Inkijkmuseum within the project Global Village. It wouldn't be possible without our devoted volunteers who give conversation lessons and help with preparation for the integration exam. Within the program there is a group of international volunteers who are developing and organizing additional conversation lessons. Sometimes even learning of the language is hard enough. You invest money and time but for different reasons you might not be satisfied with the level reached, you do not dare to speak or you are not motivated enough to finish the course. By being involved in our additional activities, free of charge and on free basis, you can:
- get more information about Dutch society
- develop your network
- develop your personal and professional skills and
- actively participate in the society by doing voluntary work that suits you. The internationals within our team, who came through the same integration processes in the Netherlands, are available for individual coaching sessions related to issues caused by moving to a new environment, like loneliness, looking for a job, cultural differences, defining personal and professional goals, etc. Please note that in case you follow our Dutch course you are not obliged to take part in other activities and our coaching program.

We have a nice voluntary job! If you love art, want to broaden your network in Eindhoven and have some free time then you are a perfect person to become a part of this unique project and our team. In the period between the 14th and the 30th of October 2022 we are organizing a final exhibition of the art and communication project Show Your Hope at the Heuvel Galerie in Eindhoven. The exhibition is also a part of the Dutch Design Week. Besides the exhibition of around 1000 paintings the program will consist of story telling sessions, presentations and public talks.
The project has started in Eindhoven 20 years ago by Martin Voorbij and has since then travelled around the world. Around 1000 international artists took part in the project by expressing their meaning of Hope in a painting and those paintings travelled further and reached the most diverse audience worldwide. Job description: showing the visitors the way and answering their questions, updating our FB page during the exhibition, selling merchandise. You will be given all instructions upfront and you will work together with other team members. The exhibition is open from 12.00h till 21:00h and on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00h. We expect you to be available at least 3 hours a day and at least 3 days during the duration of the exhibition.

Dat was een gezellige zondagmiddag met de ouders die ons Taal- en participatieprograma volgen. Een informele ontmoeting met leuke en nuttige gesprekken over het gebruik van social media door kinderen 👩🏾💻🧑💻en over de scheldwoorden die kinderen heel snel oppikken ☺️. We hebben afgesloten met een taalspelletje. 🇳🇱🃏

Two groups of our students had their last conversation lesson in Philipsdorp. It was finaly possible to meet up in person and our teacher Adri came to a brilliant idea to organize a tour in the monumental city part of Eindhoven, Philipsdorp. Another teacher, Marian, joined with her students as well. The tour was guided by Harriët Bernts and we heard nice stories about the history of Philips and Philipsdorp. Philipsdorp was built up by Philips family in order to accommodate their employees coming outside of Eindhoven. The first houses are built in 1920s, they are renovated a few years ago and got monumental status. Harriët told us also about the Philips family, early labor immigration to Eindhoven, social life and cultural diversity in 1920s and 1930s in Philipsdorp, schools which the company built for their employees and their children, etc. Our tour ended at Koffiehuisje that back in the years used to be a grocery store for the employees of Philips. The students got their certificates and we hope they feel now a bit more at home in Eindhoven 🏠💡

Dear international parents,
We have one spot left in the Saturday group for one parent who wants to follow our Dutch Language and Participation Program.
The Language and participation program is a unique program in The Netherlands. It aims to empower international parents in learning the Dutch language, in dealing with Dutch education/daycare system and in supporting their child in education and growing up in The Netherlands. It is designed for parents whose children are attending Dutch daycares and primary schools.
The program consists of 16 lessons, one lesson per week (except school holidays).
You learn the basics of the Dutch language at A1 level with a special accent on the vocabulary that is used at school/daycare and the words/short sentences that you can use to communicate with the teachers and the kids on a daily basis. It is structured around several subjects such as:
• health system,
• raising children,
• communication/partnership with school/daycare,
• Dutch culture,
• the organizations and institutions that offer
different activities and supportive programs
for kids and parents etc.

New in NL announces a new language course (A0-A1 level) starting on Wednesday, the 20th of January.
The lessons can be followed online via Zoom or at the location (corona measures applied). They are given once a week on Wednesday evening in small groups (max. 8 students) in fun and interactive way and friendly teachers are more than that: they will train you to become confident in speaking Dutch and support you in finding your way around in The Netherlands. Here you can think of dealing with cultural differences, getting to know Dutch system, finding (voluntary)work, starting education, doing the integration exam etc. After completing A2-level our students can keep practicing spoken Dutch with New in NL volunteers during our conversation lessons.
