Not every battlefield is visible.

During Exercise in Estonia, Allied cyber defenders trained to protect the critical infrastructure that keeps military operations moving and societies functioning. Working together in realistic scenarios, NATO Allies strengthened their ability to defend power, transportation and communications networks against cyber threats.

“Deterrence today extends far beyond the physical battlefield. Our ability to defend critical digital infrastructure is fundamental to NATO’s collective defence.” – General Ingo Gerhartz, Commander JFC Brunssum.

By training together today, Allies ensure they are ready to respond together tomorrow.

Today, Commander of JFC Brunssum General Ingo Gerhartz attended the 🇺🇸 U.S. Memorial Day Ceremony at the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten 🇳🇱 alongside Dutch Minister of Defence Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius.

The annual ceremony commemorates American Soldiers who gave their lives liberating the Netherlands during World War II.

🤝 Strengthening partnerships through training and interoperability

JFC Brunssum is hosting the 2nd Workshop of the Partner Capacity Coherence Initiative 2026 (PCCI26), bringing together 40 officers from 12 NATO Partner Nations.

Through training in exercise planning procedures according to NATO standards, participants build mutual understanding and strengthen interoperability, helping Partner Nations prepare for participation in NATO-led and bilateral exercises. 💪
