The Old City Food Tour is a 2‐hour walking tour, that takes you back to a time when food was at the heart of public life in Amsterdam ‐ when oxen walked the streets on their way to the cattle market, a daily fish market took place on Dam Square and grain was traded at the Corn Exchange on Damrak. The history of Amsterdam, which developed from a small village along the river Amstel to a vibrant ce

nter of international trade, is literally shaped by food. To keep things fresh and fun, we link past and present by visiting several unique food entrepreneurs that are located in the area nowadays and get a taste of the culinary wonders Amsterdam has to offer today! The Food Tour is now not only happening in Amsterdam, but also in Milan! Thank you Food in the Streets, it looks amazing!

In the last weekend of March - a sunny weekend in which we had an hour less to sleep - we organized an that started at Floralia. Again we took ZEROPXL and asked him to make the pictures of the trip.

Next tour in italiano will be on the 4th of April at 10o'clock so that we finish in time to meet some of the producers during the Mercato della Terra di Milano! Info and subscriptions at [email protected]

In samenwerking met de pop-up MelkSalon, een tijdelijk proef- en ontwerplokaal, organiseren we in april een bijzondere Old Amsterdam Milk Tour!

Laat je zintuigen prikkelen op deze unieke editie van de Old Amsterdam Food Tour, die de rijke geschiedenis van melkmarkten en melksalons tot leven wekt en je langs plekken leidt die ook voor de meeste Amsterdammers verborgen blijven!

Zaterdag 25 april - 13.00 uur

De Milk Tour duurt ongeveer 2 uur en kost €15 p.p. Inschrijven is noodzakelijk en kan via [email protected].

Alle tours starten in de Pop-Up Melksalon, Oude Spiegelstraat 6, Amsterdam. De Milk Tour is gekoppeld aan het social media project de MelkWegen.

2014 marked an outstanding year for the Old Amsterdam Food Tour. For instance, we struck new working partnerships with a number of inspiring local food entrepreneurs and organized a tasteful and lively Old Amsterdam Food Market.
