PleinMode

PleinMode PleinMode is a swap shop and community place based in the hart of Geuzenveld, at Lambertus Zijlplein. The shop is run by the small artists community. Welcome!

We are open several days a week, and once in 3 monthes we organize big SWAP parties. We started as The Novel swap shop that was a part of THE BOOKSTORE project. THE BOOKSTORE was a project in the Kolenkitbuurt, Amsterdam-West, initiated by The New Collagists and the housing association Stadgenoot. More than a dozen artists from six countries had been given the opportunity of living in the neighbou

rhood for an affordable rent. In return for this, they were expected to make a contribution to development of the area. The project was active from 2011 till summer 2017. In the summer 2019 THE BOOKSTORE got a new opportunity to develop similar activities in the Geuzenveld neighborhood (Nieuw West) of Amsterdam. PLEINKAMER is the name of our new space in Geuzenveld. And PleinMode - is the new The Novel of this new neighborhood.
