I joyfully congratulate His Highness, Alh. Muhammad Sanusi Mikailu Sami (Sami Gomo III), upon his enthronement as the Emir of Zuru. His ascension is not only a blessing to the Emirate but also a renewed hope for unity, peace, and development for our people. May Almighty Allah endow him with wisdom, courage, and foresight to lead with justice and compassion, and may his reign bring honor and prosperity to Zuru Emirate and beyond.

We also honor the memory of the late Emir, General Muhammad Sani Sami (Sami Gomo II), a leader of great distinction whose service and legacy will never be forgotten. May Allah forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.

A large gathering was held at Dr. Nasir Liman’s residence in Zuru, bringing together representatives from 50 Youth Associations from the four LGAs of Zuru Emirate – Zuru, Fakai, Danko/Wasagu, and Sakaba.

Speakers commended Dr. Abubakar Malami (SAN) for his past support to the people of Zuru, especially during the COVID-19 crisis, and for empowering over 15,000 youths and farmers across Kebbi State during his time as Minister.

Leaders including Comrd. Usman Musa, Kabiru Abubakar Jega (KAJ), Abdulrashid Ambursa, Mustapha Ahmad Jega, Abdulrahman Ibrahim Arg, Rashida, Dr. Nasir Liman and Barr. Murtala Muhammad emphasized unity, dedication, youth empowerment, women’s involvement, and political vigilance.

The event concluded with a unanimous declaration of total loyalty from all four LGAs to the KMYEI, with participants pledging the unwavering support of their followers.

Heartfelt Condolences on the Passing of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Zuru Major General (Rtd) Muhammad Sani Sami Gomo

Your Excellencies, Members of the Royal Family, the People of Zuru Emirate, and Kebbi State,

It is with profound sorrow that we received the news of the passing of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Zuru, in London following medical treatment.

Our hearts are heavy with grief at the loss of such a revered and distinguished traditional leader.

His Royal Highness dedicated his life to serving his people, embodying wisdom, unity, and progress throughout his reign.

His leadership strengthened the cultural heritage of Zuru and left an indelible mark on Kebbi State and Nigeria at large. Even in his final moments, far from home, his commitment to seeking healing reflected his resilience.

Dr. Nasir Liman, Senatorial Candidate for Kebbi South in the upcoming 2027 election, has extended his condolences and prayers.

He joins the bereaved family and the people of Zuru Emirate in mourning the loss of this great leader.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the Royal Family, the Zuru Emirate Council, the Government and People of Kebbi State, and all who cherished his guidance.
