Today, the Office of the Speaker of the Zaria Federal Constituency, under the leadership of Alhaji Ismael Muhammad Yesko, warmly received a courtesy visit from 17 cadet police officers who have successfully completed their rigorous training at the Nigeria Police Force Training College in Kaduna. This important milestone signifies a new chapter in the professional journey of these young men and women.

The training program was both facilitated and generously sponsored by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Rt Hon Abbas Tajudeen PhD, GCON (Iyan Zazzau). These 17 cadets are proud indigenous youths hailing from Zaria Local Government Area. Undergoing intense and comprehensive police training at the esteemed Police College in Kaduna, they are now well-equipped with the skills, discipline, and knowledge required to uphold law and order.

This visit marks a significant achievement in the ongoing efforts to empower and professionally develop the youth of Zaria, enabling them to serve their communities with unwavering dedication, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility. The Speakerโ€™s commitment to nurturing local talent and supporting youth empowerment is clearly demonstrated through initiatives such as this, aimed at fostering safer and more resilient communities.

Alhamdulillah, Construction of Solar-Powered Boreholes Commences Across 13 Wards

The construction of solar-powered boreholes has officially begun across thirteen (13) wards, with each ward set to receive two (2) functional boreholes. This initiative is being carried out under the directive of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dr. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, GCON, Iyan Zazzau.

Work has already commenced in Tudun Wada ward of Zaria, specifically at Gangaren Kwata near Tudun Wada Market.

Recognizing the critical importance of water to daily life, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen approved the installation of modern solar-powered boreholes across all wards in Zaria Local Government Area to improve access to clean water for the people.

Providing clean and accessible water remains a core commitment of the current administration of Zaria Local Government. These boreholes are not only high quality but are also strategically located to serve different communities within the 13 wards.

The implementation of this project started this week. We pray that Allah rewards Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen abundantly, grants him more elevation, and continues to protect him from the plots of enemies. Ameen.

The Special Assistant to the Speaker and Managing Director of the Zaria Federal Constituency Office, Alhaji Ismael Muhammad Yesko, extends heartfelt congratulations to His Royal Highness, the Emir of Zazzau, Ambassador Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, CFR, on the occasion of his 5th anniversary on the throne.

Over the past five fruitful years, His Royal Highness has achieved remarkable progress and has worked tirelessly for the growth, unity, and dignity of the historic Zazzau Emirate. His leadership has been a source of pride and stability for the people of Zaria and beyond.

The Honourable Alhaji Ismael Muhammad Yesko, Special Assistant to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and Chief Manager of the Speakerโ€™s Constituency Office, attended a football match today at the Dudu field located in Barau Dukko, Tudun Wada, Zaria.

The friendly match featured local youths and adult residents of the community, and it ended in an exciting 4-3 scoreline.

During the event, the young players of the Dudu United Football Team honoured the Special Assistant with an award in appreciation of his support.

In his remarks, Hon. Yesko expressed his joy upon seeing elderly members of the community, who had long stopped playing football, join the game and showcase their talents once again. He commended the community spirit and the beautiful game witnessed.

To encourage the players, Hon. Yesko promised to donate 15 pairs of football boots to the youth team to support their continued participation in the sport.

In addition, he pledged to provide 10 pairs of football boots for the adult team as well, so they can remain active and inspired.

Finally, he reaffirmed his commitment to supporting youth development through sports and prayed for Allahโ€™s continued blessings, increase in wealth, and upliftment for all involved.

On Wednesday, 17th September 2025 (Day 3), the Zaria Federal Constituency Office, under the leadership of the Special Assistant on Constituency Matters, Alhaji Ismael Muhammad Yesko, convened a significant interactive session with a diverse range of support groups. This strategic forum aimed to review the challenges faced by these groups, conduct a comprehensive assessment of progress on developmental initiatives to date, and identify opportunities to strengthen collaboration. Through open and constructive dialogue, stakeholders successfully identified key areas requiring improvement and proposed measures to optimize collective efforts for enhanced outcomes.

The session also prioritized the development of actionable strategies to accelerate socio-economic development and political mobilization in preparation for the 2027 general elections. Special emphasis was placed on fostering sustained and active participation from all support groups, promoting self-reliance, and encouraging shared responsibility to drive community advancement. This engagement significantly strengthened mutual understanding and reaffirmed the constituency officeโ€™s unwavering commitment to transparent communication and inclusive governance.

The interactive session was led by Hon. Sidi Haliru Bamalli and supported by distinguished personalities, including the Senior Legislative Assistant to Speaker Yaro S Abubakar, Nasiru Umar Maikayan Wuta, Idris Abubakar Maishinkafa, Engineer Isah Nuhu, Hajiya Binta, Comrd S Chokali, Jibrin Danlami, Fahad Kabir Baba, among others. Heartfelt Condolences to Rt Hon Abbas Tajudeen on the Passing of His Elder Brother

On behalf of the entire staff of the Zaria Federal Constituency Office, we express our deepest condolences to Rt Hon Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, GCON (Iyan Zazzau), Speaker of the House of Representatives, Federal Republic of Nigeria, on the passing of his elder brother, Alhaji Aminu Pate Wamban Dawakin Zazzau, who departed on Wednesday, 10th September 2025, after a prolonged illness.

We also extend our heartfelt sympathy to the entire family of the deceased, especially Alhaji Nuhu Aminu Pate Bamalli, Yahaya Aminupate, P.A. to the Speaker, and Alhaji Samaila Tajudeen.

A second batch of 113 intending pilgrims, sponsored by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, GCON (Iyan Zazzau), departed today in 2025 from Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Kano, to the Holy Land for their Lesser Hajj pilgrimage.

The Lesser Hajj (Umrah) is a pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca that can be performed at any time of the year. It involves sacred rituals such as Tawaf (circling the Kaaba seven times) and Saโ€™i (walking between the hills of Safa and Marwa).

This sponsorship is part of the Speakerโ€™s ongoing efforts to empower his constituents both spiritually and socially in 2025. It follows previous initiatives where he supported other pilgrims from the constituency to perform the Lesser Hajj. The departure from Kano underscores the Speaker's strong commitment to facilitating his constituents' spiritual journeys through fully sponsored trips to Saudi Arabia. This latest group of 113 pilgrims marks another significant milestone in his patronage of this spiritually important endeavor during 2025.

In a rare show of inclusive leadership and religious harmony, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, PhD, GCON (Iyan Zazzau, Wanban Gwandu), has again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the spiritual growth and welfare of his people by sponsoring 121 individuals on pilgrimage, both Christian pilgrims to Jerusalem and Muslim faithful for Umrah in Saudi Arabia.

The send-off ceremony for the second batch of beneficiaries was graced by his Special Assistant on Constituency, Alhaji Ismael Muhammad Yesko, who expressed deep appreciation for the Speakerโ€™s continued efforts in supporting all religious groups without discrimination.

This bold initiative cuts across political, ethnic, and religious lines, a clear reflection of Speaker Abbasโ€™s belief in fairness, inclusivity, and peaceful coexistence. By supporting both Umrah and Jerusalem pilgrimages, the Speaker has further solidified his reputation as a servant-leader who leads with compassion, vision, and sincerity.

Many of the beneficiaries, some of whom had never traveled outside Nigeria, expressed heartfelt gratitude and prayers for Speaker Abbas Tajudeen, describing the gesture as life-changing and spiritually uplifting.

Alhaji Ismael Yesko, speaking at the event, reaffirmed the Speakerโ€™s commitment to using his office to uplift the people of Zaria Federal Constituency and Nigeria at large. He prayed for the Speakerโ€™s continued success, wisdom, and strength in service to the nation.
