The recent announcement by the Executive Secretary of the Borno Geographic Information Service (BOGIS), Engineer Adam Bukar Bababe, regarding the ultimatum to revoke the right of occupancy certificates of the occupants of Alpha Mechanic Village in Moloi, has caused a stir in the area. Engineer Bababe visited the village for a spot assessment and expressed his disappointment with the current state of the village.

The Alpha Mechanic Village was established by the Borno State government over two years ago to provide a conducive working environment for mechanics and other related workers. However, despite the government's efforts, the village has not lived up to its expectations and remains underutilized.

This is not the first time that the BOGIS agency has visited the village to assess the situation. Engineer Bababe mentioned that this is the fourth time the agency has conducted such an assessment, indicating the seriousness of the issue. He emphasized that the government is willing to give the occupants a final chance to take ownership of their certificates and relocate within ten days. Failure to comply with this ultimatum will result in the revocation of their right of occupancy.

Engineer Bababe further explained that if the certificates are revoked, the government has plans to transform the area into either a second GSM market or a vegetable market. This indicates that the government is determined to make better use of the land if the occupants are unable to do so.

The ultimatum given by BOGIS reflects the government's commitment to ensuring that public resources are utilized effectively. By revoking the right of occupancy certificates, the government aims to encourage the occupants to either utilize the land or allow others to do so.

It is now up to the occupants of Alpha Mechanic Village to decide whether they will take ownership of their certificates and make use of the land or face the consequences of revocation. The government's intention to transform the area into a market highlights its focus on economic development and creating opportunities for the community.

the ultimatum given by BOGIS to revoke the right of occupancy certificates of the occupants of Alpha Mechanic Village in Moloi reflects the government's determination to ensure the effective utilization of public resources. The ball is now in the court of the occupants to either comply with the ultimatum or face the revocation of their certificates.
