The tenant who hired 3 shops in the Pavilion at Oxbow Lake, Yenagoa and did some mural and extended his activities to the driveway by adding chairs tables and flowers etc, has been directed after a stakeholders meeting on Monday with the Hon Commissioner of Transport, to Repaint the inside, corridors and pillars back to the original Pavilion Color; and also clear the driveway of all tables, chairs, tyres, flowers and other obstructions.
You will recall that the Hon. Commissioner directed the immediate shutting down of the shops after an unscheduled visit to the Pavilion and on sighting the “Reggae Paintings” on the walls.
The Pavilion is now wearing a new look of decency and serenity, after the enforcement of the following new rules:

3. No sales/ use of Hard Drugs
4. No indecent dressing
5. No use of the Pavilion jetty as a transport Terminal.

7. No intimidation of the gatemen by those who claim to be “high Government Officials” and Militants.
8. The closing time fixed for 6pm and all customers are expected to leave the Pavilion by 6pm and the gate shut till 6am.
The Gatemen are on top of the situation and have been given strict directives to enforce the above rules by the Hon. Commissioner.
Families with their children are invited to come back to the Pavilion and enjoy the scenery and the Cruise Boat as the place has been restored back to it’s s earlier status.
