The Wife of Bayelsa State Governor, Justice Patience Diri has cautioned against violence during the November 11th Governorship election in the State.
Justice Patience stated this at the thanksgiving ceremony of Executive Secretary, Bayelsa State Primary Health Care Board, Dr. Appah Williams in Kaiama, Headquarters of Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA.
She urged Bayelsians not to sit at home to expect good election results advising that people should campaign peacefully and cast their votes at the appropriate time.
Contributing Commissioner of Health, Dr. Pabara Igwele appreciated Dr. Appah noting that he was a serious and dedicated man to work with.
He said when Dr. Appah was his Special Adviser, he could leave the office and go to sleep with his two eyes closed because of his dedication to duty and urged other youths to emulate him in his working style.
The Executive Secretary Primary Health Care Board Dr. Appah Williams appreciated Governor Douye Diri for the honour done him for the appointment.
Dr. Appah assured of an effective and efficient Bayelsa Primary Health Care Board in the state.
He said his commitment to his appointment was to make Governor Diri proud with a collective support from everyone.
High point of the occasion was inauguration of two campaign organizations for the November eleven Governorship election by former Chairman Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA Deacon Ebikitin Diongoli to deliver Governor Douye Diri’s second term in office.
They are Adaka Boro Agitating Group of Niger Delta and Productive Minds of Bayelsa.
Dignitaries at the occasion were Caretaker Chairman, KOLGA, Mr. Inemo Oruebimiekumo, Wife of Bayelsa State Governor, Justice Patience Douye Diri, Commissioner of Health, Dr Pabara Igwele and Member Representing KOGLA constituency one, Mr. Werinipre Pamo.
Others are Special Adviser to the Governor on Inter Party Relations Mr. Suokiri Jackson, Special Adviser to the Governor on NYSC, Mr. Wisdom Poyeri and a host of others.
