I fear for my people the Itsekiri’s. Truly, deeply.

It is painful—almost unbearable—to watch my people drown in petty internal disputes and manufactured distractions while our enemies move with clarity, coordination, and purpose. While they sit quietly drawing maps, planning how to seize our lands, erase our political relevance, and dismantle the Kingdom of Warri piece by piece, our own leaders are busy fighting themselves like blind men in a burning house.

The information is there. The threats are no longer hidden. The warnings are constant. Yet those who claim leadership are consumed by ego battles, factional loyalty, and personal survival. The youths are no better—on one side, blindly defending the same people they once accused of looting and betraying the Itsekiri cause; on the other, tearing each other apart over youth president seats that have no real power, no structure, no vision, no strategy. Just noise. Just chaos.

No coordination. No long-term plan. No united front.

Meanwhile, our enemies are not confused. They have one clear goal:
the destruction of the Kingdom of Warri, the dismantling of the Itsekiri political empire, and the seizure and redistribution of Itsekiri lands and resources among themselves.
This is not speculation. It is known. It is discussed openly. And yet, knowing all this, my people are still busy fighting one another like fools doing the enemy’s work for free.

Worse still, these enemies are not passive observers. They actively pour millions—moving toward billions—of naira into fueling these internal disputes. They sponsor confusion, reward division, and amplify stupidity because a divided Itsekiri is an easy Itsekiri. Disunity is their greatest weapon, and we hand it to them daily with pride.

Itsekiri-mi, have we truly fallen this low?
Have we become this useless? This brainless? This spineless?
Is self-destruction now our chosen strategy?

The political class is weak and cowardly.
The council of chiefs are weak, silent and compromised.
The youth bodies are directionless and unserious.
The so-called “data boys” who wake up daily to insult the throne on behalf of their Oga are just as useless as the Oga they serve—parasites feeding on chaos while pretending to be activists.

And for those of us who actually receive intelligence reports, who hear of imminent threats, quiet meetings, calculated moves against our people—what exactly are we expected to do? Talk? Warn? Post? Shout into the void?

To what end, when leaders are busy fighting leaders, and youths are busy fighting youths?
To what end, when truth is drowned by loyalty to nonsense and ego over survival?

If this continues, history will not be kind to us. And our children will ask why, when we saw the danger coming clearly, we chose distraction, infighting, and stupidity over unity, discipline, and survival.

And we will have no excuse.
