THE SHERIFF FRONTIERS GENERAL MEETING HELD AT ELIKO HOTELS, JULY 10TH 2022
SUMMARY
The Sheriff Frontiers Movement held a very crucial general meeting that saw Members and Patrons from the 3 Senatorial Districts of Delta State present
The meeting was anchored by the Publicity Secretary (Chief Ese J Emadifie) and the Organising Secretary (Hon Kingsley Abugewa). The meeting was managed by the Chairman of the group (Chief Francis Ighoraye JP) and supervised by Chief Barrister Anthony Duku ( Patron), Chief Joseph Onuorha (Patron) and Chief Hon Peter Abugewa (patron) who was highly represented. The Agenda of the meeting which was put together by the Secretary of the group (Chief Chris Kenedinum) covered every area that needed urgent discussion on
The DG (Hon Freeborn Eghagha) excuse of absence was made known to the Chairman, the Patrons and the entire Executive Members. It was due to an unavoidable political assignment with our Principal Rt Hon Chief Sheriff Oborevwori JP, but promised to make it if even if late
The meeting kick started with an opening prayer from Elder Felix. The Chairman took the floor afterwards, thanking every member for coming and re assures members that victory is sure. He also emphasized on the fact that not all member were kitted in their Frontiers T shirt or Facecap which didn't go down well with him and then encouraged all members to do so on the meetings to come
Chief Barrister Anthony Duku was next to make a speech. Being a Legal practitioner he took time to explained to Members the implications of the judgement passed by the Federal High Court ,Abuja last Thursday. He faulted the judgement by saying the judge didn't consider points raised by the counsel to Rt Hon Chief Francis Sheriff Oborevwori concerning the fact that sheriff has not done anything against the law, been that the discripances in his certificates had affidavits that clearly states that he is the owner of all the names and certificates. In a nutshell the Barrister believes that there will be victory for us all at the Appeal Court and no Member should be worried ,rather the fire of support should be increased
The Patron from Delta North, Chief Joseph Onuorha (Ezeudo 1 of Asaba) was the person who spoke next to the group. He was brief but touched on the need for Members to be steadfast in the business of politics. He also assured Members that Rt Hon Chief Sheriff Oborevwori JP will surely be the next Governor of Delta State come 2023. He said he was never troubled by the Court's judgement for he knows that the road to success can be bumpy at times
Hon Chief Peter's representative (Patron) also spoke briefly by sharing the thoughts of the Patron. He assured Members that his support for the Group and the incoming Governor will never waver and so Members must be strong, prayerful and pro-active
The Organising Secretary ( Hon Kingsley Abugewa) and the Publicity Secretary ( Chief Comrade Ese J Emadifie) also in turns spoke about the nonchalant attitude of Members towards properly supporting the Speaker of the 7th Assembly towards promoting him in good light to Deltans and beyond. They both stressed on the need for Members who are on social media to always comment on posts made, like and share them if possible being that social media plays a very large in this day politics
The Secretary took the stage and briefly talked about expanding the group to every area in Delta State and more coordinators and executives should be appointed. His thoughts was widely applauded by the house
The Oshimili North Coordinator Lady Franca also stood up to make an appeal for peace amongst Members and more meetings like this should be called regular in the future for a stronger and united Frontier Group. She mentioned that God loves the Speaker of the State House of Assembly and no evil shall befall him
Other members made beautiful suggestions, contributions and observations that will further strengthen the Group and it's focus towards standing for and with Rt Hon Chief Francis Sheriff Oborevwori JP
There was a lavished refreshment towards the end of the meeting, a lot to eat and drink. The meeting came to an end with a closing prayer by Chief Barrister Anthony Duku (Patron).
NOTE: The DG (Hon Freeborn Eghagha) made it to the meeting venue but a little too late because the closing prayers had already been said and some members had started leaving. I commend the DG for making efforts to grace the meeting.
