💥DAY DR. MARSHALL UMOREN FETES PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES IN IBIONO IBOM, PLEDGES STRONG ADVOCACY FOR THEIR WELFARE
..receives Award of Honour for Humanitarian Services
The Founder of Hightower Humanity Foundation, Dr. Marshall Umoren alongside his wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Ifiok Umoren, has extended Christmas and New Year goodwill to persons with disabilities in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area, reaffirming his commitment to advocacy for their welfare. The event, which took place at the Ibiono Ibom Local Government Council Hall, Oko-Ita, attracted persons with disabilities from across the local government area.
Leadership of the disability groups (The Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JNAPWD), Ibiono Ibom Chapter, in collaboration with the Unique Persons with Disabilities Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society, Ibiono Ibom Chapter ably led by Mr. Nyikke-Abasi John Ntuk, received the gifts and donations on behalf of the beneficiaries.
Speaking at the event, the APC Chapter Chairman in Ibiono Ibom, Mr. Umo Ekop, described Dr. Umoren’s gesture as rare, noting that such selfless acts hardly come from individuals without political ambitions. He prayed for God’s continued blessings upon Dr. Umoren and encouraged him to sustain the humanitarian outreach.
In his appreciation remarks, the Chapter Coordinator of Persons with Disabilities in Ibiono Ibom, Mr. Nyikke-Abasi John Ntuk, expressed profound gratitude to Dr. Marshall Umoren and his wife for identifying with persons with disabilities at a critical time. He noted that the disability community in Ibiono Ibom had never experienced such a level of support from a truly selfless individual with no intention of contesting any political office. He prayed for God’s continued upliftment of the donors for bringing joy to the less privileged.
Responding, the Founder of Think Humanity Foundation, Dr. Marshall Umoren, expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for enabling him to fulfil his passion of supporting the vulnerable and downtrodden. He reaffirmed his commitment to sustained collaboration and advocacy for persons with disabilities in Ibiono Ibom.
According to him:
“As long as God continues to bless me, I will never abandon or disappoint you. I will continue to support and collaborate with you. It breaks my heart seeing the number of persons living with disabilities here. Please compile a detailed list of your challenges for me, especially those without crutches and wheelchairs, so that we can work towards addressing them.”
Highpoint of the event was the recognition of his outstanding humanitarian services, Dr. Marshall Umoren was presented with an Award of Honour by the disability groups.
The award reads in part; "An award of honour presented to Dr. Marshall Umoren, in celebration of your remarkable dedication to foster development, well-being and right of people with disabilities. This acknowledgement is presented today, 26th December, 2025"
