PDP Presidential Campaign: Let’s Work Together For PDP's Success - Governor Udom

Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has appealed to the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, faithful to bury the hatchet and work together for the success of the party in the 2023 general elections.

Emmanuel expressed gratitude to the leadership and members of the PDP, for finding him worthy to be appointed as Chairman of the Atiku Abubakar’s Campaign Council.

He spoke while fielding questions from newsmen at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, shortly after his arrival from Abuja on Friday.

He explained that success in the task ahead of the forthcoming polls in the country requires a collaborative effort and therefore, appealed to party faithful at all levels to work together towards victory of the party .

The Governor who acknowledged that frictions have occurred in the party in time past, stressed that it was time for members to let go of the past and to be in harmony.

His words: “Let me thank all our party members across the country for this confidence they have in me. I also want to say that no one person can do it alone. It involves everybody in all the units, all the wards and all chapters of our party to come together for the party to move forward.

“I want to use this platform to make an appeal that if we had made mistakes in the past we cannot wind back the clock, we cannot recall what had passed yesterday. But we can move forward in the spirit of oneness, unity, prosperity and progress for our party”

Governor Emmanuel expressed determination to work for the victory of the party, as well as the hope that Nigerians would vote accordingly while God gives the victory.

On his new responsibility as chairman of Atiku’s Campaign Council, Emmanuel simply responded, “The issue of the Campaign Council is a very simple matter; our own duty is to do the campaign and Nigerians to vote for us and then God will give the victory”

Why I prefer a Private sector person in politics - Obong Attah

Akwa Ibom former governor, Arc Obong Victor Attah has given an insight why he prefers a private sector person in politics during a media interaction recently in uyo, Akwa Ibom state capital.

He said “When you come from the Private sector into Politics it gives you the opportunity to think slight differently, it also helps in the way you model things.."

Attah apparently was referring to the competence of Pastor Umo Eno, PDP gubernatorial candidate who started a hotel business in 90s with a three bedroom apartment now running a three star hotel with over 250 staffs.

Corroborating Obong Attah’s thoughts, a seasoned researcher and scholar, Uwemedimoh Umanah, PhD, ANIPR
in a trending nugget said “Humility will enable Umo Eno innovate, as Governor of Akwa Ibom State. Humble leaders are more open to other people’s thoughts, opinion and ideas and likely to generate better solutions and increase innovation. The story of the Royalty Group, which began with a loan of 10 Million, attests to Pastor Eno’s innovation capability...”

ON A WORKING VISIT TO THE PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY STUDENTS ALLIANCE, CROSS RIVER STATE

Comr. Mkpoikanke Tom the National Coordinator of the PDP Students Alliance alongside with the Cross River State coordinator Comr. David Nakanda led the great , students and youth of the people's Democratic Party Students Alliance, on a working visit to the Cross River State chapter of the party where we were received by the party chairman, Ably represented by the state publicity secretary Hon. Mike Ojisi who expressed satisfaction with the visit, noting that the party is ready to work with the PDP SA, as the group's objectives and structure is formidable enough and capable of contributing greatly to the victory of the party in the state during the forth coming general elections.

This is to notify us that PDP Students Alliance general meeting is scheduled to hold as follows;
Date:Sunday 19th June, 2022
Venue:World Faith Schools, Nelson Mandela by School Rd Junction
Time:4pm Prompt (no african time as the meeting will last for 2 hrs only)
N/B:Appointment letters will be given to all appointees, from state exco members, senatorial district coordinators,campus coordinators and LGA coordinators.

We should all endeavor to come along with new members as we will be drawing strategy to embark on a thorough grassroots mobilization/sensitization for the success of our great party in the forth coming general elections.
All officials of the PDP SA at the state and LGA are expected to strictly comply with this information as there will be no room for frivolities.
It is time to work and together we will work to actualise the victory of our party candidates across all levels.
