Yobe Commissioner of Commerce Inspects Site for the Construction of Modern Markets in Ngelzarma, Babban Gida.

The Honourable Commissioner, Yobe State Ministry of Commerce, Industry, Tourism and Solid Minerals, Rt Hon. Kaigama Umar and his team inspected sites for the construction of modern market in Ngelzarma, Fune Local Government and Babban Gida in Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State.

In his speech, Kaigama Commended the Executive Governor of Yobe State, His Excellency, Hon. (Dr) Mai Mala Buni for signed the request for the construction of Modern Market in Ngelzarma and Babban Gida.

Commissioner said, A market as a form of social infrastructure is the barometer through which peace and socio economic stability are gauged.

Indeed the conversation markets shares global uniformity as they provides true reflection of custom, costumes, culture, characteristics and traditional identities of the people.

Kaigama added, "if you want to know more about people, just discover their Markets".

By modernizing the market concept, a safer, secured and conducive environment for commercial trades and exchange are provided there.

The modern market is a clear demonstration of the commitment of the Yobe State Government under the visionary leadership of Hon. (Dr) Mai Mala Buni to improving commercial activities, Empowering traders and stimulating economic growth across the state.

He further added, Nine modern markets are been

constructed in the state, Six has been completed and out of the four has been commissioned, two are awaiting for commissioning while, three has reached 96% of completion.

At the Multipurpose Hall of the Federal College of Education, Potiskum, prominent businessmen and women, traditional title holders, and other key stakeholders gathered under the umbrella of the Yobe State Harmonized Traders Association, in collaboration with the United Marketers Association of Potiskum/Umapo, for a sensitization and appreciation programme in support of the policies and programmes of His Excellency, Governor Mai Mala Buni.
The Commissioner for Commerce, Industry, Tourism and Solid Minerals, Rt. Hon. Kaigama Umar, who represented the Governor at the occasion, described the gathering as timely and important. He emphasized the need for continued collaboration between the government and the business community to promote economic growth, strengthen trade, and support the implementation of government policies and programmes across the state.
