Hails Uvwie 7th assembly on corporation, support and outstanding Uvwie first bye-laws. Seeks support on Chairmanship ambition.

Uvwie, one of the fastest growing cities in Delta Delta state has been described as a unique Brand that will soon metamophose into a global City in no distant time.
This was part of the submission by Rt. Hon. Gabriel Omas Obodo on the 22nd of February 2024,while declaring his intention to contest for the Chairmanship seat of Uvwie Local government Council under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), before the 7th assembly. In a powerful speech at the event, the speaker of the 7th assembly and by God's grace incoming Chairman stated as follow:
" Let me thank you all for this warm reception. It has been a journey of almost three(3) years under my leadership of the house. I am the first to be elected twice in the history of Ugbomro community( DSIEC ward 13) and also ending the tenure as the longest serving leader in the history of Uvwie legislative arm. There's no way I could have achieved all these without your support and corporation. First and foremost I thank God Almighty and also deeply appreciate you my distinguished colleagues ".
" I want us to reflect on some of the beautiful works done by this 7th assembly. The motions and bye-laws by this house are purpose driven and in the best interest of Uvwie kingdom and the populace. I thank all the like minds for working in synergy with me in the interest of the people. The journey has so far been very successful through the help of God".
" Let me put it on record that this 7th assembly will remain one of the best and also stand the test of time in the history of Uvwie legislative arm, due to the very notable,bold and outstanding bye-laws we enacted,especially the Wrong geographical naming bye-law which was recently referenced by UPU first vice- president, Bar. Isaacs Itebu.".
" To this end,I have come to declare before you my Honourable colleagues that I am fit,I am qualified to represent this Uvwie global brand and serve with honour and dignity as the Chairman of the council. Representing the global image requires a lot. Such a fellow must possess very outstanding qualities in order to sustain the brand to remain relevant and ring positive bell across the globe. All these I know and fully preparedfor".
Uvwie being not just a brand but a global City in no distant time, especially with the beautiful works being carried out in the council by His Excellency Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori , would require a tested,trusted, loyal, God-fearing,academically sound and experienced hand to compliment the state governments efforts towards growth and development and I am readily available to serve".
" The New Face of Uvwie as captioned in my slogan represents a new mind and generation. It represents new ideologies, innovations and better ways of getting things done in line with global best practices. These and more the council would see,feel and experience when I am elected the chairman.Therefore with strong belief in God and your support, that can be possible ".
" I know we have had great minds as Chairmen of the council before now. But I think we should try and give preference to the young minds who understands the legislative arm. People who have been there and knows the nitty-gritty of the house. By God's grace when I become the chairman, my government will liase with the state government to give this legislative arm a major infrastructural uplift".
"Under my administration, it would be final goodbye to the days wherein legislators scream on top their voice while deliberating on issues and and carrying out their legislative duties. Microphone would be provided for everyone to enhance the process. Under my administration, this legislative building will not only be used solely for that purpose as opposed to the current reality,but also there will be extension of the secretariat for better performance and decongestion purpose".
" I came fully prepared and loaded with so much on the sleeve. But it is not yet time for manifesto. When it is time,you will hear it all. I assure you all that under my administration by God's grace,everyone will smile".
"My interest of coming here today is to serve Uvwie. I don't have any other place I can call a home apart from Uvwie and as such,we all must join hands to build the Uvwie of our founding fathers dreams",
That was how the Chairmanship hopeful, frontline aspirant and by God's grace the incoming Chairman for Uvwie local government Council ended his powerful speech.
