GREAT 51 (G51) CONGRATULATES PLATEAU PDP ON SUCCESSFUL STATE CONGRESS

The GREAT 51 (G51) Political Movement extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Plateau State Chapter on the successful conduct of its State Congress held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, which produced Chief Raymond Dabo as the newly elected State Chairman alongside 38 other executive members.

As a non-partisan political movement, GREAT 51 (G51) stands firmly with the voice of the people, celebrating every democratic process that strengthens institutions, promotes inclusion, and reflects the collective will of Plateau citizens.

The peaceful and transparent manner in which the exercise was conducted reflects the maturity, discipline, and democratic consciousness of the Plateau political class. It also reaffirms the state’s position as a beacon of political civility and participatory democracy in Nigeria.

We particularly commend the Executive Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, for his unifying leadership and unwavering commitment to building a cohesive and forward-looking political environment where divergent views are respected and dialogue prevails over division.

As the new leadership of the PDP assumes office, we urge all political parties across the state to emulate this model of internal democracy, inclusiveness, and peace-building. Plateau’s political stability and development transcend party lines — our common interest is a prosperous and united Plateau.

While awaiting similar exercises from other political parties, GREAT 51 (G51) calls on all Plateau youths to remain politically conscious, actively engaged, and committed to the greater goal of unity, peace, and progress.

A Call for Fairness, Competence, and Renewal in the PDP Youth Leadership.

As dedicated youth stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), we reaffirm our commitment to unity, progress, and the overall success of our great party. We are not opposed to a consensus arrangement; indeed, we welcome any transparent process that promotes harmony and collective purpose.

However, we stand firmly against the endorsement or imposition of any candidate whose capability, visibility, or track record within the party remains uncertain. The future of the PDP youth structure cannot be entrusted to unfamiliar or untested hands.

At this critical stage, what the PDP needs are leaders who have been consistent, visible, and unwavering in their loyalty and service to the party. Silas Tafiwarwar exemplifies these qualities. Over the years, he has demonstrated a deep understanding of party values, a proven record of engagement, and the readiness to lead with strength, inclusivity, and vision.

We therefore urge our leaders at all levels to reflect on the mistakes of the past and seize this opportunity to rebuild confidence among young members by supporting competence over convenience.

The task ahead demands a vibrant, committed, and visionary youth leader, one who truly represents the voice and aspirations of the PDP youth constituency nationwide. That person, without doubt, is Silas Tafiwarwar, a symbol of loyalty, courage, and capacity.
