RURAL ACCESS AND MOBILITY PROJECT RAMP-2 FLAG-OFF
IZOM-ABUCHI-SULEJA

I attended the flag-off of the IZOM-ABUCHI-SULEJA road project under the Rural Access and Mobility Project (RAMP-2) at Gurara.

Roads project are very close to my heart, because it is the primary means of transportation of my constituent, and makes crucial contribution to economic development and growth. Ranging from reducing the distance between people, markets, services and knowledge – or simply ‘getting people connected’ – is a great part of what economic growth is all about.

3. Shezoko (FCT)
4. Gnape (Gurara LGA)
5. Abuchi-Koro
6. Abuchi Gwari
7. Abuchi Fadama (Suleja LGA)
8. Sabongarin- Fadama

In my effort to provide clean and portable water, which will help improve overall health and sanitation for inhabitants of Suleja. I have approved the immediate repairs and upgrade of boreholes in phases, starting with some selected areas.

This will have an immeasurable impact, saving countless hours and lives of people in Suleja, especially to women and children who are usually the ones saddled with the responsibility of fetching water for cooking, bathing and other household chores.

Security remains a top priority in my adminstration, as it is the primary responsibility of every government. Without it, i believe there will not be any meaningful development.

The UN has continuously highlighted the fact that there is no development without peace and security.

In the last few weeks, we have witnesses escalating security challenges in Suleja. These necessitated that i reviewed and rejigged the current security architecture by taking an urgent and decisive measures to address the causes of the insecurity.

These Security measures are yielding positive results. The picture below is one of the criminals arrested by security agency during operation.

I remain committed to securing the lives and properties of all the people living Suleja.

Suleja is one the fastest growing cities in Nigeria due to several factors. As it is with every other rapidly growing cities, rapid and unplanned urbanization could lead to profound social instability, risks to critical infrastructure, potential water crises and the spread of disease.

To tackle these challenges, we need to look up some other cities, that are already succeeding in that domain and replicate the model.

Smart city technology, is the solution, as it can help cities run more efficiently while improving services to citizens and businesses, among many other benefits.

Suleja Local Government under my stewardship, will give -Habitat and Niger State Urban Support Programme (SUP) all the necessary support in formulating and implementing the Integrated Development
Plan.

The retreat accorded the opportunity to sensitize, brainstorm and strengthen relationships with the ministries and other critical stakeholders in the state towards good governance and effective service delivery to my people.

My colleagues and I, resolved to brace up to diligently discharge our administrative duties in order to bring about meaningful development to our communities especially at the grassroots level.

I assured his excellency, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello, that my administration will always have the interest of Suleja people at heart, and will work assiduously to meet up with the yearnings and aspirations of the electorates.

Effective delivery of Healthcare services requires availability of adequate infrastructure, medical diagnostic equipments, drugs and well-trained medical personnel. It is on this premise that i embarked on sight seeing and on-the-spot assessment of the quality of infrastructure, medical equipment and staff strength of all the primary Health Care Centres in Suleja.
Amongst other things, we have identified areas needing urgent intervention and our team are in the process of collecting adequate data that will guide our critical decision making in resources distribution within the health sector.
