CHAPTER 2🌹
The twins were about eight years old, a boy and a girl.... they looked so cute and Ruby instantly couldn't wait to spend time with them... she walked her way to where they were seated with their father and a woman who was probably the mother... “i didn't think he was married, no wedding photos, no ring” she thought.... her thoughts were interrupted with the fast steps of someone running towards where she was walking to... “Emerald!!”, the kids shouted as they were so excited to see their big bro... the relationship between the kids and Emerald is not a straight forward one, Mr Diamond adopted Emerald and gave birth to the twins with Helen, that makes the twins and Emerald step cousins?? Well, the twins call him big bro or simply Emerald sometimes.... They all went into a big hug as Ruby stood there watching with a wild smile on her face “awwwn, that's so sweet” she said out loud unconsciously “huh?” the kids asked as Emerald turned to look at her.... “oh, I didn't mean to interrupt your hug I just felt it was....” she wasn't allowed to finish her statement before Mr Diamond called her, she felt a bit embarrassed, the kids first impression of her wasn't good enough

“babe, meet Ruby the nanny I got for the kids”
“but baby I told you I was already going to get a nanny for them na, why did you have to stress?”
“i couldn't wait any longer, our visa will be ready soon we can't delay for any reason”
“so what do we do now? the nanny I hired is resuming tomorrow morning”Helen said
“but I told you two that I could take care of them myself, why waste money on incompetent nannies?”Emerald said in a frown
“but sir am not incompetent, you haven't even see my abilities yet” Ruby replied firmly and polite
“no one asked you to interfere into family matters, I hate nosy people” Emerald said that in disgust as he stormed up stairs.. Ruby felt so bad within her, she has just made enemies with Emerald

CHAPTER 1 🖤
Ruby Philip, an eighteen years old girl striving to save the life of her mother being the only child.
She had just graduated secondary school and awaits the news of her admission into the University of Abuja.... Her dad is a mere mechanic and does not have the money to settle his wife's hospital bills and this leaves Ruby no other choice than to get a job to support her father.

She went about the street of Abuja knocking on every house gate to find those in need of a house maid, nanny or cleaner.... Luckily for her, she found a mansion who had vacancy for a nanny. The mansion is know as “The Diamond Mansion”. This is so because of the level of wealth the young owner posseses and still yet no one knows for sure how he gets the money.... She went into the mansion and was ushered in by the gate keeper.

A young man who looked like he was in his Early 40's walked majestically and with so much pride from the stair case to the living room where Ruby was....“who are you?” he asked. “Ruby Philip is my name sir, am here for the position of a nanny” she replied with a bit of nervousness in her voice... “I have a set of twins, very sweet yet stubborn. Can you handle them?” he asked without sparing her a glance. “yes sir I can do that, I am very good with children”.. “of course you'll be good with them, ain't you a child yourself?” Ruby was short of words but at this point she'll do anything to save her mother.... “You'll be starting tomorrow morning, they'll be back by noon from their trip. Am not completely giving you the job cause I'll keep my eyes on you”.“no problem sir I promise to put in my best” she replied with excitement
“We'll discuss your salary at the end of the month”. “but sir I need to know the pay so I can at least have peace of mind, I really need this money” Ruby said in a plea... “do you want the job or not young lady” he asked in anger “yes sir I do”

Ruby arrived the mansion very early and was directed to the children's bedroom to clean it up before their arrival... She cleaned and decorated it to her satisfaction.. she was already so tired that she fell asleep on the bed and woke up to a bang on the door. She quickly stood up and pretended to still be working.. she turned to the door only to sight the most handsome thing she had ever seen. He looked so perfect and he is her dream man.
Meet Emerald, Mr. Diamonds adopted son who has lived with him since the age of two. Emerald was a very quite 20 years old, he had just one friend and was always on his own. The other friends he had were the twins, they were his favorite people on earth and he has been awaiting their arrival that was why he thought they were back when he heard movements in their room... Emerald had never fallen in love, he enjoyed his own company and still yet he had a lot of secrets we don't know of yet.

“who are you?” he asked “am Ruby the new nanny for the twins” she said with so much blush but he didn't care, he just walked out.
Ruby was still on shock on how a man could be this beautiful but the her thoughts were interrupted by the scream of a child, she quickly ran out to see and it was the twins..
