His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, PhD, FCNA, today, 1st January, clocks 56 years of age.

This milestone presents an opportunity to celebrate a visionary leader whose administration continues to demonstrate unwavering commitment to good governance, people-oriented policies, and sustainable development across Sokoto State.

Your Excellency, your dedication to public service, accountability, and inclusive leadership has earned you the admiration and confidence of the people.

Your Nine-Point Smart Agenda has undoubtedly placed the state on the right trajectory, with numerous people-oriented projects being executed across the length and breadth of our dear state.

The fight against banditry ravaging some parts of the state is also gradually yielding positive results, owing to your steadfast commitment and consistent support to security agencies through the provision of critical logistics and financial backing aimed at curbing the menace.

As you mark another year, we acknowledge your tireless efforts in promoting peace, security, infrastructural development, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.

PRESS RELEASE

It has been asserted that no city can truly live up to its name if it remains in a state of filth.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto made this assertion while presenting the keys of nine brand-new refuse collection vehicles to the Managing Director of Biofil-Technology Nigeria Limited, Mr. Ibukun Taiwo.

The company has been contracted to ensure the cleanliness of the Sokoto Metropolis.

Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu also stated that a clean environment goes a long way in ensuring a healthy society.

The Governor, who was represented by his Deputy, explained that it is on this basis that the state government is determined to ensure the beautification and cleanliness of the Metropolis.

Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu noted that the new refuse collection vehicles are in addition to the eleven existing ones to be managed by the company for evacuation exercises.

The Governor further disclosed that the company has also been provided with sanitation materials, which include cleaning kits, household dustbins, and safety gear.

He therefore expressed hope that the company will swing into action towards achieving the set objectives.

In his response, the Managing Director of the company, Mr. Ibukun Taiwo, pledged the company’s readiness to make the best use of the vehicles and sanitation materials provided.

Muna alfahari da irin nagartaccen shugabancin da kake yi, da ƙoƙarinka wajen ganin Jihar sokoto ta ci gaba, musamman a fannonin Kwasar shara da Hukumar tsaftace muhalli ta jahar Sakkwato da take aiki babu k**a hannun yaro da tattalin arziki, ilimi, lafiya, da aiki tukuru.

Muna roƙon Allah Ya albarkaci shekarun gaba da tarin nasarori masu ɗorewa, Ya kuma sa jagorancinka ya ci gaba da kasancewa haske ga rayuwar al’umma.
