‎*ASATTAHIR INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION (AIF) RECEIVES ZENITH BANK LEADERSHIP ON COURTESY VISIT AT ITS NEW CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS*

‎On the 26th of August 2026, ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) received the leadership of Zenith Bank Plc on a courtesy visit to AIF’s new Corporate Headquarters.
‎
‎The visiting delegation was led by the Zonal Manager, Alh. Abdulkadir Ahmad Farid, accompanied by the Sokoto Branch Manager, Alh. Sanusi Bisu.
‎
‎The visit was aimed at strengthening the partnership between AIF and Zenith Bank and exploring opportunities for deeper collaboration. During the visit, the Zonal Manager acknowledged AIF as a longstanding partner of Zenith Bank and commended the Foundation for its contributions to creating opportunities that support the local economy.
‎
‎The Zenith Bank team also commended AIF for its commitment to financial transparency and accountability over the years. They further used the opportunity to congratulate AIF on securing its new Corporate Headquarters, describing the milestone as an important achievement for the Foundation.
‎
‎Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Board and Management of AIF, the Founder and Chairman, Board of Trustees, Aliyu Sidi Attahiru, expressed appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed AIF’s commitment to building strong institutional partnerships.
‎
‎Discussions centered on strengthening collaboration, enhancing financial accountability, and leveraging technology to improve institutional transparency and efficiency. The discussions also covered AIF’s present and future plans for vulnerable groups across the Northwest, particularly its role as a humanitarian and development organization working to address the needs of vulnerable and underserved communities in the region.

‎AIF also showcased its latest financial management system, alongside its newly developed information and data management systems, designed to strengthen transparency, accountability, data management, and evidence-based decision-making across the Foundation’s operations.

‎The visit marks another important step toward strengthening the relationship between AIF and Zenith Bank and advancing shared commitments to transparency, accountability, innovation, and sustainable development.

*BADO COMMUNITY RECORDS ZERO FLOODING FOLLOWING AIF-FACILITATED 2KM ROAD AND DUAL DRAINAGE PROJECT*

We are pleased to note the remarkable impact of the road and dual drainage project constructed in Bado Community, facilitated by the Founder of ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF).

The project spans almost 2 kilometres, comprising a road and dual drainage systems designed to improve access while effectively managing stormwater and preventing flooding in the community.

Despite the flood-risk predictions issued by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) for various Local Government Areas across Sokoto State in 2026, Bado Community has recorded zero flooding this year. The newly constructed drainages have effectively contained and channelled running water, preventing the accumulation and uncontrolled flow that previously exposed residents, homes, roads and livelihoods to flooding and related risks.

What was designed as a road and drainage intervention has also become an important disaster-risk reduction measure, helping to protect lives, property and livelihoods.

AIF commends the vision and commitment of its Founder in facilitating infrastructure that delivers tangible benefits to communities and strengthens their resilience against climate-related hazards.

Tasirin Magudanar Ruwa (Drainages) da kuma Aikin Titin Bado ya Taimaka sosai wurin samun sauki ga Al’ummar mu da kariya daga Matsalar Ambaliyar Ruwa a unguwar.

Wadannan sune magudanar Ruwa da kuma sabon titin da muka samu a cikin wannan yanki.

Kamin yanzu Ruwan sama da Ambaliyar Ruwa suna kawo Hasarar dukiya a cikin wannan Al’umma, Amma yanzu Alhamdulillah, an samu sauki sauki sosai.

*AIF STANDS WITH GORONYO IN THIS MOMENT OF DEEP GRIEF*

ASATTAHIR International Foundation (AIF) extends its deepest condolences to the Sokoto State Government, the people of Goronyo Local Government Area, and, most importantly, the families of those who tragically lost their lives in the canoe accident at the Gorau river crossing point on Thursday, 20th August, 2026.

Following the tragic incident, AIF convened an emergency meeting on the same day, chaired by its Founder, Aliyu Sidi Attahiru. During the meeting, the Head of Access and Safety briefed management on the circumstances surrounding the incident, the likely causes, and measures that can help prevent similar tragedies in the future.

Addressing the media at AIF’s Conference Room, the Founder, Aliyu Sidi Attahiru, expressed heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families and the entire Goronyo community. He also wished the survivors a quick and full recovery.

AIF commends the prompt response and coordinated efforts of the Sokoto State Government, relevant emergency response agencies, security agencies, local divers, and other responders involved in the rescue and recovery operations.

We stand in solidarity with the Government and people of Sokoto State during this difficult moment and pray for the safe recovery of those who are still missing.

May Almighty Allah grant Al-Jannatul Firdaus to the departed, comfort the bereaved families, grant the survivors a speedy recovery, and give strength and patience to all those affected. Ameen.
