Dear Deltans
As we approach the 11th March 2023 Gubernatorial election, it is necessary I put my voice forward as we move to freedom.
From 1999 to date, our dear state has received or earned in revenue about 6 trillion naira which can not be accounted for by any government that has led the state in terms of progressive development.
Our roads are bad from Asaba to Ukwani; Ukwani to Orerokpe; Orerokpe to Oghara; Oghara to Warri; Warri to Ughelli; Ughelli to Oleh; Oleh to Kwale and back to Asaba. No infrastructure to account for the huge earnings.
Delta State has one of the worse health care systems in Nigeria; in my 24 months of visiting all 264 wards providing technical support on health system strengthening, I can conclude the 24 years of PDP government failed our people.
The unemployment rate rose from 9% in 1999 to over 40% in 2022 under the leadership of Former Gov James Ibori to Governor Ifeanyi A. Okowa
Despite the earnings, Delta State debt profile stands at 392 Billion naira and has no development; is nothing but a disservice to the citizens of the state who are ravaged by flooding year in and year out, lack of infrastructure, no portable water in our cities and villages.
Freedom is here! It is time to stop those that have governed us with impunity, corruption, and injustice. Those who had only created paths for their children and immediate family but continue to deliberately impoverish 5.6 Millon people.
As I conclude, my message is clear "STOP PDP"; it is time to stop the caucus that continues to rotate power among themselves without developing Delta since 1999.
Your vote should go to Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the APC, let us elect him as our Governor. He will bring development and a productive economy to Delta State.
11th March 2023 is the day of freedom.

Yours,
Orhorhamreru Efena Tosin MPH, MBA, FSM
Orerokpe,
Delta State

HOW TO GET YOUR VOTERS' CARD BEFORE THE 2019 GENERAL ELECTIONS

To have a voice that matters as a Nigerian, you need a Permanent Voter's Card (PVC) to vote for your preferred candidates.

If you don't already have one, here are the simple steps to acquiring a PVC before the registration period ends:

1. As long as you're a Nigerian who has attained the required voting age of 18, all you have to do is show up at the nearest INEC LGA office with a valid means of identification like a birth certificate, a driver's licence, national passport, or any other document that can prove identity, age and nationality. The exercise runs between 9am and 3pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

2. After the registration process is complete, INEC will issue you a Temporary Voter's Card (TVC) as a placeholder for when the permanent one will be ready.

3. When your PVC is ready, you can use the TVC to claim it at your INEC LGA office after your name has been verified on the distribution list.

You can verify your PVC status by checking if your name has been added to the voters' register by checking the "Voter Register Verification Platform" on the INEC website.

The Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise will be suspended in December 2018, 60 days before the commencement of the election.

UPDATE
In an announcement made on August 14, INEC further extended CVR until August 31, from Monday to Sunday, but excluding public holidays.
