Sagbama Local Government Council under the administration of Hon. Ebipade Samuel Richman, has done tremendously well within few months in office.

As a grassroot politician, he knows the needs of his people (Salgarians) and his attending to them gradually.

NANS PASSED VOTES OF CONFIDENCE ON HON. RICHMAN, CHAIRMAN OF SAGBAMA LGA.

…Awarded Him “Best Chairman of The Year 2023”.

22nd December, 2023.

The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Sagbama Local Government Area, Hon. Ebipade Richman Samuel received the leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS worldwide led by Comr. Kings Tamarapreye at his office in Sagbama Secretariat.

NANS being the apex students union body in the country lauded Hon. Richman for his developmental strides, noble contributions to peace building and educational development of Sagbama Local Government Area. Thus passed votes of confidence on him with an award of “ Best LGA Chairman of the Year in Bayelsa State.

Speaking on behalf of the students community delegation is Comr. Kings who is the secretary general NANS worldwide, in his speech said, we have approached the council chairman in so many occasions regards our issues, in all he has always given listening ears and proffered solutions where necessary.

After our rigorous discussions and investigations in terms of projects executed and ongoing, attention to students, the Chairman’s cup that is to deliberately engaging our youths in this season of Yuletide, open door policy and empowerment of youths etc. We decided to present the award of Best Local Government Chairman of the year to him with the NANS medal.

Speaking briefly, Hon. Ebipade Samuel Richman in his response expressed profound gratitude to the NANS leadership for finding him worthy of this prestigious award. Though he added, “it is not my style of accepting award because l am only carrying out my primary duties of diligence services to Salgarians.”

The council boss used the medium to congratulate our proud Sagbama son, Comr. Kings Tamarapreye on his victory as NANS Secretary General worldwide. He urged younger players of NANS to follow his footsteps.

Hon. Richman reiterated his readiness and commitment to work with everybody and group in accordance with the Prosperity administration led by our boss His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Executive Governor of Bayelsa State in delivering the dividend of democracy to the doorsteps of Sagbama people.

Finally, the council chairman advised students to be on good conduct, serious with their studies, avoid hard drugs and bad company that will ruin their lives as potential leaders with shining prospects.

FREE MEDICAL TREATMENT BY SALGA COUNCIL CHAIRMAN.

The Caretaker committee Chairman of Sagbama Local Government Area, Hon. Ebipade Samuel Richman from inception of office has stationed professional medical staffs at the council secretariat to give attention to staffers and anyone coming to the council to;

~ Blood Pressure checking and medication to regulate it.
~ Sugar level/ checking and medication.
~ Malaria/Typhoid Checking/medication.

This is first of its kind to keep council staffers and others healthy.

SALGA CHAIRMAN HONORS RETIRED DPO FOR MERITORIOUS SERVICES IN THE LOCAL GOVT.

The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Sagbama Local Government Area, Hon. Ebipade Samuel Richman today celebrated SP Igattah Charlse Chukwuma, the Divisional Police Officer of Sagbama as he retired from services.

Chairman of council was ably represented by his Vice Chairman, Hon. Sunday Macaulay who in his remarks poured encomium on the DPO for his meritorious services to Sagbama Local Government Area.

In his speech;
“We are extremely gratified to gather here to celebrate you SP Igattah Charles. You have made immeasurable impacts in our LGA through your diligence years of service as the divisional police officer. On behalf of the Council boss and all Salgarians, I Congratulate you and pray for more success as you retired from your services to our dear country.”

Award of meritorious services was also presented to the DPO. High point of the occasion was the official commissioning of Portable Water project initiated and completed by the Chairman of Sagbama Local Government Area as the most pressing requests made by the division.

SALGA COUNCIL CHAIRMAN PLAYS HOST TO PERSONNELS OF COMMUNITY SAFETY CORPS DEPLOYED TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.

Tuesday, 28th November, 2023.

The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Sagbama Local Government Area, Hon. Ebipade Samuel Richman received in audience officers of the Community Safety Corps, Bayelsa State at his office.

The council boss expressed delightfulness receiving the personnels at his office.
As part of their request for accommodation, the council chairman quickly makes arrangement for that purpose and other logistics moving forward.

He enjoined them to operate within the rules of engagement and not to operate as tax collectors, settlers of land disputes or domestic issues but rather work with statutory security agencies to rid criminals in the local government area.

Hon. Ebipade Samuel Richman also urged other security agencies to work in synergy with the corps as they are essential in crime fighting in the rural areas.

Stressing, crime fighting is a collective effort and requires credible intelligence for security agencies to efficiently carry out their statutory obligation.

Hon. Richman used the medium to commend the Governor, His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri for the implementation of the Bayelsa State established safety corps law 2021 to attend the state security challenges and to engage our youths meaningfully.
