Today Wednesday the 11th of March 2026 THE NEW TIDE (TNT) led by Hon. Oparikite Lawson successfully held its Unity Prayer at the Ogu headquarters of Ogu-Bolo Local Government Area. The event witnessed an impressive turnout, with members gathering in large numbers, and many more participating from outside due to the overflow.

The theme of the prayer session, "Don't Be Afraid For Our leaders," resonated deeply with attendees as they came together to seek guidance and strength for their community and leaders. The prayers were uplifting and filled with hope, reflecting the unity and determination of the TNT members.

Familiarization Tour: National Leadership of THE NEW TIDE Visits Okrika LGA

The National Leadership of THE NEW TIDE (TNT), led by Hon. Lawson, on Wednesday, 18th February 2026, embarked on a strategic familiarization tour to Okrika Local Government Area as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots engagement and deepen organizational structures across the country.

The visit brought together the National Executives and the LGA Executives of the TNT Okrika Chapter in a well-attended meeting characterized by unity, openness, and forward-thinking discussions. The engagement provided an opportunity for the national team to interact directly with local leaders, assess ongoing activities, and chart a stronger course for the chapter’s growth.

During the meeting, members of the Okrika Chapter leadership actively entertained questions and sought clarifications on key organizational matters. The interactive session allowed for healthy dialogue, mutual understanding, and alignment of vision between the national body and the local chapter.

Hon. Lawson, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the importance of collaboration, transparency, and commitment to the ideals of THE NEW TIDE. He commended the Okrika Chapter for their dedication and encouraged them to remain steadfast in advancing the mission and objectives of the organization.

Inter-Regional Friendship to Promote National Unity for the Defence of Democracy

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on Wednesday joined, Senate President Bukola Saraki, Kwara State Governor, Abduldatah Ahmed and Benue State Governor, Dr Samuel Ortom to attend the Fidau Prayer for Late Alhaja Aishat Baraje, Mother of Alhaji Abubakar Baraje, a Senior Member of Reformed APC and associate of Senate President Bukola Saraki in Ilorin, Kwara State.

Late Alhaja Baraje died peacefully on 11th July, 2018 and has been buried according to Islamic injunctions.
