As the clock ticks down and as we usher in the New Year 2024, this is the time to give thanks to Almighty God for his blessings and the opportunity to look into the future with greater hope and optimism towards New Development in our Society and the World at large.

As we offer thanksgiving to Almighty for his faithfulness and mercies, let’s us eadeavour to be a reflection of His goodness in our society and to our neighbours, for in a harmonious and peace cohabitation, development thrives faster.

Leadership is not about titles, positions, or flow charts. It is about one life influencing another, Show me a Mother who portray the principle of Just and Ideal Society and I would present to you, Ever dynamic, Industrious and Caring Mother, Distinguish Senator Monsurat Sunmonu Aduke.

The greatness of a leader is measured by the achievements of the led. This is the ultimate test of his effectiveness, if this Strong, Resilient, Role Model, Problem Solver and tutor is been hated by them Politically definitely they need to get more closer and learn more about the Values and Principle of our dear Mother.

It’s of great importance to note that aside Hon. Barr. Seun Ashamu, Distinguish Honourable Monsurat Aduke Sunmonu is a Visionary leader whose mindset is to Develop, mould and create future Leaders in and outside her Jurisdiction.

When things fall in pleasant places and the Sergent of destruction start to throw jabs and spread ill talk of our Mother, it’s always the same proverb of understanding ‘’Eni ara O ba kan, Kii Kanra (Who is not nagging will not be found nagging). Our loving, kind, compassionate, endearing, protective, strong, extraordinary, intuitive, caring Mother has put in place all her followers in a correct proportion after so much hardworking and undiluted Effort towards making the Empire more effective.

As the World commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s life of Sacrifice and obedience to Almighty Allah this Eid-El-Kabir, it’s with a great deal of pleasure that I extend my warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah and to all the people of Oyo South West Local Council Development Area.

We must keep before our minds at all times the real essence of the Eid-El-Kabir which is to recall and be challenged by the willingness, steadfastness, sacrifice, obedience and devotion to Allah as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (ASW).

This Symbolic Islamic Festival is a reminder to us that there will always be great rewards when we have abiding faith and patience in trying periods; persistence in prayers and tenacity in our beliefs. It also reminds us of the sacrifice we are expected to make not only for the purpose of spiritual fulfillment but also for the progress of mankind and development of our society.

The Chairman Oyo South West Local Council Development Area hope this Eid will be a source of Blessing, Peace, prosperity and safety for all Nigerians stressing that coexistence and stability will prevail in the Country.

May Allah in his infinite mercy accept our Ibadah and may he fill our lives, homes, families, businesses, communities and our dear Local Government, State and Country with His Barakat. Ameen.
