GOVERNOR ADELEKE EXTOLS FAITH, AND UNITY AS MUSLIMS CELEBRATE EID-EL-FITR
My dear people of Osun State, particularly our Muslim brothers and sisters, I warmly congratulate you on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan. I commend your devotion and discipline throughout this sacred period, which goes beyond abstinence and reflects a deep commitment to compassion, social justice, and community service.
I wish to assure the Muslim community in Osun State that my administration remains attentive to your aspirations, values your immense contributions, and will continue to protect your rights, support your institutions, and ensure your fair inclusion in governance and development initiatives.
Under my leadership, Osun will remain a state where religious harmony is preserved and where no group feels marginalised. I reaffirm that our policies and programmes will always reflect equity, sensitivity, and respect for all faiths.
The enduring lessons of Ramadan are vital to sustaining the shining light of our dear state. I therefore urge you to sustain these virtues beyond the fasting period and continue to play active roles in strengthening peace and social cohesion across our communities.
I also reaffirm my administration’s unwavering resolve to deliver people-focused governance, deepen grassroots engagement, and expand opportunities for all. We remain committed to improving welfare, infrastructure, and the overall economic prospects of our citizens.
As you celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, I call on you to pray for the peace and stability of our local government system against political saboteurs and power mongers. I encourage everyone to celebrate peacefully, support one another, and extend acts of kindness to the less privileged in our society.
Once again, as we celebrate this sacred festival, I assure you that your government stands with you, listens to you, and works tirelessly for your collective progress.
