THE AOA VISION
I see the TRANSFORMATION OF OSHODI CONSTITUENCY 1 THROUGH THE ENHANCEMENT OF HER HUMAN AND PHYSICAL RESOURCES.
THE AOA MISSION
The Transformation shall reflect through the following Plans:
A. ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
I believe in the given that we are blessed with abundant human resource, and I also believe that given the right support, our people can go great things and better their lives. It's this understanding that inspired my ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT plan.
I am going to raise some funds through the support of our Friends and illustrious Sons of the soil. These Funds shall be used to finance dreams and aspirations of our people that have bankable ideas. There will be criteria to be met and a payback duration. Through these, we want to see an average of 3,000 people supported.
B. EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMES
I am a staunch advocate for the improvement of our Nation's educational system. Therefore, I am also going to institute diverse projects for the educational sector of our constituency.
1. Organize all secondary schools (public and private) in the constituency - quiz and essay competitions, with scholarships for the winning students and the prizes for the schools. My belief is that no matter what schools our children attend today, they are going to all meet in the marketplace and face the same realities of tomorrow. It will therefore be in their interest tomorrow if we expose them together so they can learn from one another.
2. Rehabilitate the schooling system through the periodic supply of books to libraries and Computers to the schools.
3. Occasionally Tour the public schools in the constituency so I can know precisely how to support them and also advocate for them.
C. SPORTS PROJECTS/PROGRAMMES
Recognising that the next unifying element in our Nation is Sports, I am also prepared to develop grass-root Football, Boxing competitions(for the boxing enthusiasts) and a Sports Festival
1. Sports competitions and training workshops targeted at sports enthusiasts and identifying talents would be organized, which would keep the youth busy, reduce the spate of violence, and give the youth something productive to do. Football competitions would be held across various groups - schools, societies, to foster the spirit of unity within the constituency.
2. Create a sports festival within the constituency so the people who love other sports are not left out.
D. INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP
Leadership is primarily built on the Leader and the Followers. In this case, the Representative and the Constituents. The most effective way to represent is premised on KNOWING THE NEEDS AND WISHES OF MY CONSTITUENT. For me, periodic meetings with stakeholders and the people I represent is fundamental. Therefore I shall be holding regular Town Hall meetings. At these meetings, I would present my Representative reports and also receive feedback from you. The meeting will be exceptional and in attendance would be representatives of:
- LEADERS
- NURTW
- Market Men and Women
- Community Leaders
- Students and Youths
- Corporate Institutions
- Religious Bodies
E. SECURITY
Security is of paramount importance to the development of any community. This, therefore, puts it at a very strategic position in my plan. I WILL ENSURE THAT MY CONSISTENCY SUPPORTS, IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE, THE EFFORTS OF THE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENTS PROTECTING US. We will do everything we can to empower them as much as possible. All other community efforts at security will also be synchronized and encourage as much as possible. Our security is firstly our concern and so I say we must be concerned about it within the armbits of the law.
F. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
A lot of efforts are being made regarding community development and I intend to take it even further through the provision of portable water through Borehole drilling, encourage community centres, support power supply with more transformers and so on. Emphasis shall however be placed on prioritizing our deliverables with the support of a committee that will comprise all stakeholders in various wards.
G. SOCIAL ENHANCEMENT PROJECTS
As they say, all work without play makes Akin a dull boy. Oshodi Constituency 1 will be lifted up, and through Active participation, enhancement and support for existing Carnival that showcases the beautiful culture we have! to our unique mannerisms, the Oshodi Carnival will be an awesome opportunity to open up our doors to visitors, increase business activities and ultimately, welcome MASSIVE DEVELOPMENT.
My Fathers and Mothers; My Uncles and Aunties; My Friends and Colleagues; My Brothers and Sisters; The good people of Oshodi Isolo Constituency 1. I REPRESENT THE NEW AGE AND TRANSFORMATION, and I hereby ask for your support to enable me lift Our constituency up to greater heights, ever further than before.
