A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) from Orlu zone, Dr. ThankGod Ezeani has felicitated with the former Governor of Imo State, Chief (Dr.) Achike Udenwa, on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

Ogbaturyenyi in a statement issued on Thursday and made available to Ezeani Media Center, described Dr. Achike as a seasoned administrator and technocrat who has used his skills and positions in different capacities for the growth of Orlu zone and Imo State.

He said Dr. Udenwa raised the bar in corporate governance and administration while serving as Governor Imo State, with great records of laudable achievements during his eight years tenure of office.

Ogbaturyenyi wished the former Imo State helmsman more years of joy and good health for a continued service to the State, Nigeria and humanity as a whole.

"On behalf of family, the good people of Orlu zone as well as the Peoples Democratic party (PDP), I heartily congratulate my brother and leader, Chief (Dr.) Achike Uzoma Udenwa on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

"As a true ambassador of our dear State, Chief Udenwa set a high standard in the administration of Imo State with great achievements and laudable projects, which are visible in different parts of the State.

Dr. Achike has sacrificed the greater part of his life in service of Imo State and Nigeria. He served passionately while on the control seat of Imo and his track records earned him lots of accolades.

The PDP die hard, former Parliamentarian and Captain of industries, Dr. ThankGod Ezeani (Ogbaturuenyi nke izuzu na old Orlu), on Thursday, joined other eminent Imolites to pay last tribute to late Ogbuefi Nwayiafor Mary Irona(Nee Uneanya), mother of former Imo State Deputy Governor, Hon. Engr. Gerald Irona.

Ogbaturuenyi, who commiserated with the former Deputy Governor, described the late matriarch of the Irona family as a devout woman whose exit would be felt not only by her family members but by others who knew her because of her life of service to the society.

Consoling the PDP State leader, Ogbaturuenyi said: "I condole with you my brother and leader, Hon. Engr. Gerald Irona and the entire Irona family on the death of your beloved mother and matriarch of your family, Ogbuefi Nwayiafor Mary Irona at the age of 96.

"Mama lived a long and impactful life of honour and fulfilment, trained up her children in the fear of God and nurturing them towards success.

"Her death has created a big vacuum in your life and others in the family, but please be consoled by the fact that she was a devout woman who made a difference with her life of service and she will continue to be remembered for her assailable legacies.

"May God grant you peace and give you and other members of the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. On behalf of my family, please accept my condolences. May her soul rest in peace".

Dear distinguished Delegates of our great Party PDP,

We're choosing this avenue as one of the many different avenues to reach you, we hope this open letter will serve its purpose.

95% of delegates in Orlu Zone can read and write, please take the letter as our way of reaching you individually and collectively.

This primary election is one of the most important since the extraction of Orlu Zone, never in our history do we have delegates who have a critical role to play than you have at the moment. Being a delegate, history has shifted the responsibility of molding Orlu Zone directly into your hands.

Distinguished delegates of Orlu zone, we should not betray ourselves, we should not betray our children, we should not betray our family and should not betray the future by voting for a wrong candidate because of money inducements.

Yes! There is money to be made but do not be like Judas Iscariot who hung himself for a bag of coins. Even when you make money please listen to your
heart and vote according to your conscience.

This forth coming primary election is not just a political question, it is an election that questions our humanity, our values, our conscience and our courage.
It is about the oppressor and the oppressed, make no mistake!

My name is Hon ThankGod Ezeani PhD (Ogbaturuenyi 1) in old Orlu Zone. I am seeking for your votes for Imo West Senatorial district otherwise known as Orlu Zone Senatorial District.

I seek for your votes to make a clear difference in partnership with you because none of my political competitors is exposed to some information, connections and platforms I have to turnaround the fortune of the Orlu Senatorial District.

You should ask why I am resilient to represent Orlu Zone in the National Assembly.

The simple truth is that I have the passionate burning desire to open your eyes to some life changing opportunities as a Senator.
Orlu Senator is like a governor. Orlu is a bigger political entity that needs someone with the right connections, intelligence, wherewithal and investment drive because 70% of our population are into business and farming.

I am a development economist. I know how to create wealth and employment opportunities. I have been doing that in my individual capacity.

In partnership with HE Rt. Hon. Gerald Ironna we are at advance stage of attracting multinational investment of about 1 billion Euro that will be sited at Oguta LGA which will create about 5000 employment opportunities.
When I am elected as your Senator, I will be able to attract more multinational projects in collaboration with Orlu Zone leaders.

I will engage the youths like late President Musa Yardua did in the Niger Delta to solve the restiveness in the region. I have the capacity to reason and dialogue with the youths and engage them so that those who are in the bush will come out and embrace good and progressive life with assurances.

I will create business incubation centers in the 4 federal constituencies in Orlu Zone to train our women and youths and empower them to create wealth for themselves.
This to a greater extent, will solve the prevailing security challenges we have in Orlu Zone.

Education shall be my focal point.
I was the man that procured JAMB forms for 1000 students in Orlu Zone in 2014. Today 812 of them have graduated and I am following up their progression for further engagement and employment.
The importance of education cannot be overemphasised because it is a bedrock for individual and national development.

I will be sponsoring the education of Orlu Zone.
I will engage NDDC which I will be an automatic member as an Orlu Senator to take the drivers seat in the educational needs of Orlu Zone you.
I am very real, humble, accessible and down to earth.
I am not making the usual political promises but these have been my drive to represent you in the Red Chamber.

There will be a total and clear departure from the old normal things you have been experiencing from the senators that have been representing you.
I will make new normal come to reality, an era of peace and socio-economic development.

I am a consultant to World Bank on Climate Change.
There is enough fund in the Climate Change platform in the World Bank There is about $280B fund to be accessed.
I can only access the fund using the platform of Orlu Zone Senator. The fund will be used to put up solar energised power in all the schools, hospitals and public institutions in Orlu Zone. You can be contractors in these schemes. I am the only person who can do this among my competitors because they don't know about it; they cannot offer what they do not have.

I will create a leadership succession plan in Orlu Zone.
The youngsters shall consciously take over from the old leaders like the great leadership plan introduced by His Excellencies Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha and Rt Hon. Gerald Ironna in the 27 LGAs when they were in the government for a short period.

Hon ThankGod Ezeani, Arc. Okoli, Barr. Umeh Paid Last Respect To Chief Arthur Francis Nzeribe

The Senatorial hopeful and seasoned entreprenuer, Hon. ThankGod Ezeani PhD. (Ogbaturuenyi 1) and some of his dependable partners Arc. Chidi Okoli and Chief Amby Umeh, yesterday paid their last respect to the fallen political Iroko, the Ogbuagu, Oshiji, Damanze, Oyimba of Oguta, Chief Arthur Francis Nzeribe at Oguta local government area.

Chief Nzeribe, 83, who was a former Senator for Orlu Zone, it will be recalled, died early this month after a brief illness.

Ogbaturuenyi, who attended the funeral ceremony to pay his respect to the fallen political icon at Oguta Amaeshi, described Ogbuagu as a prolific politician whose records of achievement as a Lawmaker in Orlu Zone remain enviable.

Ogbaturuenyi said that Sen. Nzeribe lived a great life of service, and became a bridge builder across political divide.

Ogbaturuenyi said, "I stand here today on behalf of my family and the good people of Orlu Zone to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of a quientensential, rare- breed politician, philanthropist, leader of leaders, statesman, an illustrious son of Orlu Zone and our leader, Chief Arthur Francis Nzeribe.

"I commiserate with the great Nzeribe family of Oguta Amaeshi, Oguta LGA, State Leadership of our great Party, People's Democratic party (PDP) and the good people of Orlu Zone on the passing of our great icon.

"The whole of Orlu Zone has suffered a huge loss with the death of Chief Nzeribe, the Damanze, Oyimba of Oguta Amaeshi, who ranks one of the most illustrious sons of the State.

"Chief Nzeribe was a patriotic Nigerian, who has an unequal commitment to the project of Orlu Zone. He was a man that believed in the growth and development of Orlu Zone.

"On behalf of my family, the good people of Orlu zone, I again condole with the family of Chief Arthur Francis Nzeribe.
I also condole my dear brother and friend HE. Rt. Hon. Gerald Ironna, the political son of Ogbuagu and Operational Leader of Orlu Zone.
We pray that God will grant all of them the courage to bear the loss, as we pray for the repose of the soul of the departed patriarch".

The most favorite PDP senatorial aspirant in Orlu Zone, Hon. ThankGod Ezeani PhD. (Ogbaturuenyi 1), has reiterated his commitment to ensuring that women in the senatorial district are given the much needed incentives and atmosphere to thrive and attain a new level of social status when he is voted to represent Orlu Zone in the Senate.

Ogbaturuenyi, who is an apostle of sustainable empowerment, stated this during a Consultative Meeting with the entire PDP Women of Orlu Zone yesterday, May 20, 2022.

According to Ogbaturuenyi, “women are not just home-builders but also community builders, they possess fantastic managerial and leadership qualities which if well harnessed, will be vital tools for nation-building".

While interacting with over 300 PDP women statutory delegates in Orlu senatorial district, Ogbaturuenyi assured them that when given the opportunity to represent the good people of Orlu Zone in the Senate, he will ensure a holistic transformation of women welfare and advancement in the senatorial district.

Ogbaturuenyi promised to facilitate proper access to quality healthcare system, incorporate more women into the fold, empowering them to be self-sufficient and also ensuring they are well represented in the political cm leadership roles.

Expatiating further, Ogbaturuenyi said, "It is passion that is driving me, I am not going there to advance my personal interest or seek personal glorification, all I want is an opportunity to impact lives and make a positive history,”.

“I am fully aware of the challenges facing women in Nigeria today and the series of hurdles they have to cross in order to be heard and be given the opportunity to tap their potentials for women are the largest untapped reservoir of talent in Orlu Zone and the world.

“Political parties are essential institutions of democracy and as such, I will be adaptive and committed to building capacity among our women and and we shall make it a policy.”

Ogbaturuenyi stated that we are not all unaware of what the problems of Orlu Zone are, but the fact is that previous leaders, however, is that we have constantly used the wrong approach in trying to address the issues.

And stated that "I have the key to fix Orlu Zone. I have the key to fix our dear Zone in terms of insecurity, education, socio-economic development, industrialization, and management of the resources available.

"We will adopt the bottom-top approach. With this approach, we will periodically hold town hall meeting where the issues in each locality and it's people will be tabled and jointly discuss on how to address them.

"I believe in Originative and Consultative Budgeting not Subjective budgeting.
In my representation, the budget would be done in such a way that it would benefit the masses because I will make them my topmost priority

"It's not what I wish to do for each LGA, but it is what the LGA wants us to for them. We will not be involved in providing water to a Community whereas in fact their actual need is an access road or providing chemical to farmers whereas what they need is a soft loan to boast their farms.
My input would be there but the LGAs input should be our topmost.

Conclusively, Ogbaturuenyi said he is bringing fresh energy and ideas to better the lots of women of Orlu, making it point blank that women will make up 60% of his Legislative team .

The highlights of the event were the distribution of Hollandaise Wrappers to these women of substance, and a singing competition conducted amongst the four federal constituencies of the zone, of which Isu/Nwangele/Njaba/Nkwerre Federal Consistency carried the day.

Speaking on behalf of PDP women of Orlu Zone, the vibrant Orlu Zonal Woman Leader, Hon. Chief Mrs. Uju Ihejiagwa appreciated Hon. Ezeani for the recognition accorded the women of Orlu Zone, and indeed the act of generosity showered on them by the epitome of integrity.

Hon. Uju Ihejiagwa further urged Hon. Ezeani to make certain his campaign promises come to fulfillment when elected and charged him to ensure women feature prominently in his representation.

Dear distinguished PDP delegates, on May 24, by virtue of your positions and the regulations of our great Party PDP, you will lord over our destinies as the people of Orlu Zone, when, through your votes, you will elect the candidate to represent the party for the Senate seat.

On that fateful day, you will carry the fate of all in PDP Orlu Zone and beyond and your decisions will echo beyond the walls of our dear Party Party and entire Orlu Zone.

Like a child looks up to the mother, we all in Orlu Zone look up to you and trust that you will look beyond the jamboree and emergency empowerments and make the right and informed decision for the overall wellbeing of PDP and Orlu Zone.

Distinguished delegates, I am esctatic that all of you emerged as party executives through a transparent process against the wish of certain individuals whose interest is to steal and destroy, or perhaps, to install most of their cronies in the party's position in order to lord the party over themselves.

No doubt, you are all conscious of the fact that certain individuals went to Court to remove you from offices, but by the special grace of God, we succeeded at supreme court couple few weeks ago hence you retained your positions and continue serving our party and humanity.

In a similar manner, some desperate aspirants of our great party equally tried to truncate the processes of the primary elections by their sinister moves to hijack the electoral sheets of the ward 3 man adhoc delegates election, and the LGA national delegates election; also in a bid to impose their whims and caprice on our great party but by the special grace of God, they never succeeded, although their wicked actions have disenfranchised hundred of geniue and progressive PDP members who would have legitimately emerged as adhoc delegates from the congresses.

On that note, I appeal to you with great humility to ask relevant questions on the background, individual and public life and performances of those jostling for your votes for Orlu Zone senatorial ticket, so as to receive requisite information about the aspirants to make a better judgement on whom to vote for in the primary election.

The best way to protect the interest of our Party and guarantee victory in the general election is to vote for the best aspirant.
Vote in a candidate who will best represent the interest of the Party and move Orlu Zone forward.

You must vote according to your conscience for the candidate who has the capacity, mass appeal and goodwill to win the election for our party.
