If we truly had a working government, leaders wouldn’t need to share rice, sewing machines, freezers, or cartons of indomie prior or during campaigns.

In a functioning system, people would have jobs, stable incomes, and opportunities to buy these things for themselves with dignity. Empowerment should come from good policies, strong institutions, and a thriving economy — not occasional handouts.

Let’s shift our focus from temporary gifts to electing leaders who can build a government that actually works for the people. Our future depends on it. 🇳🇬

Hon. Nkemakonam “Olman” Nwonwu Donates Printer to Aid ADC Members

In a bid to support the ongoing nationwide registration of party members, Hon. Nkemakonam “Olman” Nwonwu has donated a printer to assist members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in his constituency.

If you believe in building the nation we all dream about, then the first step is participation. I strongly encourage you to go out and register with the ADC. Being properly registered guarantees that you can take part in the party’s primary election and also positions you to participate fully in the general election.

Real change does not happen from the sidelines. It happens when ordinary people decide to show up, get involved, and make their voices count. Registering is not just a formality—it is your voice, your power, and your contribution to shaping the leadership and direction of our nation.

Let’s not wait until decisions are made without us. Let’s be part of the process from the beginning. Register with the ADC, participate in the primaries, and stand ready for the general election as we work together to build the country we truly desire.

Please share this message and encourage others to register as well. The future we want will only happen if we all take responsibility today.

The demolition of structures at Onitsha Main Market by the Anambra State Government raises serious concerns about justice and humanity in governance.

Many traders built their shops with approvals from government agencies, paid official fees, and operated openly for years. If those structures later became “illegal,” why are innocent citizens punished while no action is taken against the agencies that approved them?

Thousands of hardworking traders have lost businesses built over many years without compensation, relief, or a clear plan for rebuilding their lives. How are these families expected to survive?

Government must wear a human face. Development should not destroy livelihoods without accountability, compassion, and support for affected citizens.

We call on the government to compensate victims, hold responsible agencies accountable, and provide a clear pathway for traders to rebuild and continue contributing to Anambra’s economy.

As a proud “Nwa Fegge” since birth, one of my biggest frustrations has always been the quality of leadership I’ve seen over the years—from the schools we attended growing up in Onitsha South, to the security of our cherished community, to the basic amenities and job opportunities available to our youth.

It’s because I care deeply about our home that, on January 18th, I took a bold and deliberate step: I officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC). This decision comes from my desire to give back meaningfully to the community that shaped me and countless friends—our community that gave us the foundation to navigate life both within and beyond Onitsha South.

Joining the ADC is more than a political move; it is a commitment to people-centered, visionary, and accountable leadership—leaders who put the interest of the people at the heart of every decision. I believe this is the platform through which I can collaborate with like-minded individuals who share a passion for progress, inclusion, and responsible governance for Onitsha South LGA.

Umunnem, this is a call to every friend, follower, and concerned citizen: get involved. Your voice matters. Your participation matters. Democracy works best when we refuse to remain spectators. Whether through active participation, civic engagement, advocacy, or constructive dialogue, each of us has a role in shaping the society we want to live in.

Let’s move from complaints to commitment, from observation to action, and from hope to tangible change.

Together, we can build an Onitsha South LGA that our families, siblings, and especially our children, will be proud of.

Join hands with me today.

Onitsha South, my home, my pride.

This is the land that raised us. The streets that taught us resilience. The markets that taught us hard work. The families that taught us strength.

We are a people of courage, enterprise, and unity. No matter the challenges, we rise. No matter the obstacles, we push forward.

I believe in an Onitsha South where our youth have real opportunities, where our traders thrive without fear, where our children grow up in safety and dignity.

The future of our community is not a dream — it is a decision. And together, we can decide to build something better.

Onitsha South is not just where we live.
It is who we are. ❤️

Join hands with me today.

HAPPY VALENTINE,UMUNNEM!!!

Meet Hon. Nkemakonam “Olman” Nwonwu.

A true son of Onitsha South 1. A leader who listens. A voice for the people.

I’m Nkemakonam “Olman” Nwonwu, and like you, I know what it feels like to face daily challenges in our community. I know the struggles of our youth searching for opportunities, our women striving to be recognized, our traders working hard to grow their businesses, and families who deserve better roads, better services, and better leadership.

I am stepping forward—not just to run for office, but to serve every one of you. I believe leadership is not about titles or power; it’s about listening, understanding, and taking action to create real, lasting change. I want every voice in Onitsha South 1 to be heard, valued, and represented.

Here’s what I stand for and will fight for with all my heart:-

✔️ People-first legislation – Laws that solve real problems, protect our interests, and improve our lives.

✔️ Youth and women empowerment – Opening doors to education, skills, jobs, and opportunities so our future generations thrive.

✔️ Growth for traders and entrepreneurs – Supporting local businesses and creating an environment where ambition meets success.

✔️ Strong infrastructure and quality services – Roads, schools, healthcare, and social services that reflect the dignity of our community.

✔️ Honest and accountable leadership – Transparent governance where your trust is respected and every decision is made for the good of the people.

This is not just a campaign. It’s a movement for a stronger, brighter, and united Onitsha South 1. It’s about reclaiming hope, building opportunities, and showing that together, we can achieve what has long been out of reach.

I am asking for your trust, your voice, and your partnership. Together, we can turn ideas into action, dreams into reality, and challenges into opportunities. Your voice matters. Your future matters. And together, we will make a difference.

The time for real change is now.
