*Idemili South Council Mayor, Hon. Amaka Obi Meets Anambra Central Traditional Rulers*
..Lauds Them For Supporting Government Policies And Programmes.

Earlier today, Idemili South local government Mayor, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi (Iyom Ife-Abata), alongside Deputy Mayor, Hon. Ifeanyi Anakuba, State APGA Assistant Treasurer, Hon. Uche Maduekwe, Council Leader, Hon. Ezeunyim and stakeholders met Anambra Central Traditional Rulers Forum under the chairmanship of His Royal Highness, Igwe Damian Ezeani of Neni Kingdom.

In her welcome speech, Hon. Obi appreciated them for their support to administration of Governor Charles Soludo, stating that they have been up and doing in their various domains.

Council Boss applauded them for carrying the policies of the government and ensuring that there is peace and stability in their kingdoms, saying that, it is only so because they have keyed into Governor Soludo's mantra of sustainable, livable and prosperous homeland.

While highlighting the achievements of Governor Soludo in every sector, Hon. Obi appealed them to double their support, adding that Governor Soludo has proven that politics is a serious business.

In their separate remarks, the Chairman of the Forum, HRH, Igwe Damian Ezeani and HRH, Igwe Gerald Mbamalu, Eze Ojoto commended Hon. Amaka Obi for her developmental strides when she was Caretaker Chairman and for organizing the meeting.

They said that Governor Soludo has done much than expected in less than three years and reaffirmed their unalloyed support for his administration. They further showered prayer upon Hon. Obi and Governor Soludo.

The meeting was attended by all the Traditional Rulers in Anambra Central including Idemili South stakeholders.

IMPROVING ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION IN MARKET PLACES AND RURAL AREAS ACROSS THE COUNCIL AREA.

In our continuous efforts to enhance access to clean water and sanitation facilities, we have implemented a solar-powered portable water project and modern toilet facilities within Idemili South Local Government Area. Spearheaded by Hon. Mrs. Amaka Obi (Iyom Ife-Abata), the Transition Committee Chairman, this initiative aligns with Governor Charles Soludo's vision for a sustainable, clean, and habitable environment.

By introducing solar-powered boreholes, we ensure a consistent and reliable water supply for traders in our council markets. The durability of solar-powered pumps minimizes breakdowns, thus guaranteeing continuous access to clean water. This initiative is pivotal in addressing waterborne diseases and promoting public health among residents.

Furthermore, the installation of modern toilet facilities in the markets is essential for proper waste disposal, mitigating contamination risks, and enhancing hygiene standards. This not only safeguards the health of market-goers but also fosters a cleaner and safer marketplace environment.

Our administration remain steadfast in their commitment to providing safe and dependable water sources for all residents. Through these initiatives, we aim to create healthier and more sustainable communities within Idemili South Local Government Area.

IDEMILI SOUTH FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH: Extending Care to the Community

In response to the prevailing health challenges and economic difficulties facing our people, my team and I launched a compassionate initiative: a free medical outreach for the resilient residents of Idemili South Local Government Area.

Held at the council secretariat, this outreach aimed to alleviate the burdens of illness, particularly among the elderly and the less fortunate in our community.

Driven by a deep-seated commitment to improve lives, our primary objective was to make healthcare accessible to all, irrespective of financial constraints.

Initially intending to assist 200 individuals, the response exceeded our expectations, with scores of people seeking aid for various ailments.

Screening encompassed a range of conditions including skin disorders, respiratory infections, eye ailments, and provision of eyeglasses, alongside assessments for tuberculosis, hepatitis, and diabetes. Complimentary medications were dispensed to participants, while those with severe cases received follow-up visits to ensure continued care, all at no expense to them.

It's crucial to underscore the significance of such initiatives, particularly for the most vulnerable segments of society. Free medical outreach not only addresses immediate health needs but also underscores the principle of equity, ensuring that even the poorest among us receive the care and dignity they deserve. In doing so, we not only heal bodies but also nurture the fabric of our community, fostering resilience and solidarity in the face of adversity.

IDEMILI SOUTH COUNCIL BOSS INSPECTS GOV. SOLUDO'S PROJECT IN PROGRESS.

The transition committee chairman Idemili south LGA Hon Mrs Amaka Obi (Iyom Idemili) and Councilors has inspected the ongoing erotion control project in Nnobi and Oba Urban.
Speaking at the erosion site Iyom Idemili urged the community president general,youth leader and resident living close to the erosion site to take full ownership of the projects through the supervision and forwarding observation/complaints to appropriate Authority.
Hon Obi remarked that the two erosion sites were at a stretch of federal roads, but governor Soludo led administration having considered the strategic importance of the road embarked on the erosion control project in order to enhance movement as well as boost economic activities in the state and environs.

The council, management and staff of Idemili south LGA felicitates with Hon Mrs Amaka Obi for the Award of excellence service delivery conferred to her by the department of public Administration Nnamdi Azikiwe Awka.
Speaking during the event, the head of local government Administration Mr kelvin Anazodo describe Hon Obi as an Amazon who has distinguish herself in service to the people and her approach to governance which is a model that should be emulated.
In their various Speech the deputy mayor, Hon Smart Ebuka Nriama, the council secretary Hon Evaristus Ofido, the head of personnel management Mrs Olieh A.I and Nulge chairman comrade Innocent said the passion of Iyom Idemili for workers has foster good working relationship. Noting that the award reflects every thing that she stands for in service to humanity.
Responding the council boss Hon Obi who dedicated the award to residents of Idemili south commended workers for the gesture and assured them that the already established relationship can never be soiled.
