It is a clear validation of your transformative and visionary leadership and the tangible impact of your administration across all sectors in Enugu State, which has contributed meaningfully to Nigeria's development.

‎Your commitment to improving education through better learning outcomes and hands-on, experiential learning is evident through the construction of Smart Green School in each of the 260 electoral wards in Enugu State, allocation of a significant percentage of the annual budget to education, exceeding UNESCO recommendation, training and retraining of teachers into innovative educators skilled in digital tools, critical thinking, and experiential learning methods, amongst others. These steps have restored confidence in our public education system in Enugu State.

‎His Excellency, under your administration, we have witnessed prudent fiscal management, improved Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), recovery and revitalisation of moribund state assets, transparent budgeting that prioritized people-centered projects. Initiatives like the digitization of revenue collection in Enugu State reflect a deliberate plan to secure our State’s economic future. From massive roads construction and urban renewal projects to efficient and functional healthcare facilities, innovative transportation system, sustainable and eco-friendly tourism, your administration has delivered critical infrastructure that touches lives daily. The building of 260 Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres across Enugu State, the construction of a 300-bed ultramodern Enugu International Hospital, the 10,000-hectare mega Enugu Smart City, launching of Enugu Air, introduction of CNG buses to ease transportation, construction of International Conference Center Enugu, establishment of an ultra-modern Enugu State Command and Control Centre featuring artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled CCTV cameras and surveillance systems, and numerous other key projects stand as proof of your resolve to bridge our development gaps.

‎Beyond individual sectors, your ability to provide inclusive governance, maintain peace, and inspire collective progress across the 260 electoral wards in Enugu State truly sets you apart. This award by one of the Nigeria's most reputable national newspapers, together affirm what we already know, your leadership is holistic, impactful, and worthy of emulation and recognition.

I was present at the well-attended solidarity gathering of Women of Oji River Local Government Area, convened by the Honourable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Enugu State, Dame Ugochi Madueke at her country home, Agbariji Inyi, Oji River LGA, aimed at mobilizing women across Oji River in support of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah's reelection bid as the Governor of Enugu State.

The event drew an impressive turnout of women from all the 20 electoral wards in Oji River LGA, a clear indication of the deep-rooted support enjoyed by the administration at the grassroots level. As part of the day's activities, the convener, Dame Ugochi Madueke presented wrappers, cash gifts, and fertilizer to the women present, as a token of appreciation for their loyalty and continued mobilization efforts.

In attendance was the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Enugu State, Sir Barr. Victor Udeh, alongside other government functionaries and stakeholders who graced the occasion in solidarity with the women. I was accompanied by my wife and Chairperson of Oji River LGA, Mrs. Uche Anyaegbudike to the event, where, in my remarks, I reeled out the numerous projects and developmental strides recorded by the Governor, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in Oji River, noting their tangible impact on the welfare of our people. I further called on the women to remain steadfast in their support for the Governor, stressing that their support remains critical to sustaining the ongoing development agenda, and to come out en masse to vote for all the candidates of All Progressive Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections.

I commended Dame Ugochi Madueke for organizing such a well-thought-out and impactful programme in support of our Governor and all the APC candidates.

In his speech, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Sir Barr. Victor Udeh noted that His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Governor of Enugu State was the only gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 general election in Enugu State who published his manifesto in print, having wanted Ndi Enugu to have documented evidence of his promises. He stated that all the promises the Governor made in 2023 had since been fulfilled, with several additional achievements recorded beyond the original commitments.

Barr. Udeh further remarked that, for the first time in the history of Enugu State, governance is no longer limited to talk of a single road constructed in one Local Government Area or the other, but had shifted to prioritizing projects at the ward level across Enugu State. The Chief of Staff advised the women not to allow themselves to be deceived into following any other candidate or joining any other party, urging them to remain steadfast in their support for the President, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, and all the candidates of APC in the forthcoming general elections.

He also informed the gathering that the Governor of Enugu State had appointed a significant number of women into his government, making it the most female-friendly administration in the country. He concluded by reminding the women of their importance in society, particularly their critical roles in politics and governance.

The gathering ended on a note of renewed commitment, with the women pledging their continued support for all the candidates of our great party, APC.

I was pleased to attend the Enugu West Zonal All Progressives Congress (APC) monthly meeting held on Saturday, 22nd August, 2026 at Awgu Local Government Council Headquarters.
‎
‎The meeting, which drew the stakeholders of our party in Enugu West Senatorial District, party executives at the Zonal, Local Government and Ward levels, women and youth leaders, focused on strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of forthcoming general elections.
‎
‎The gathering served as a strategic avenue to update our party members on the people-oriented initiatives and projects of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Governor of Enugu State, across all electoral wards in Enugu West Senatorial District, interface with stakeholders and party faithful and reiterate our total resolve to strengthen APC both in Enugu West Zone and across Enugu State.

‎The large turnout and unity displayed by members were commendable and demonstrated their loyalty to All Progressives Congress (APC).

‎In a show of solidarity, members pledged total support for all APC candidates in the upcoming elections, at all levels.

Ernest Nweze on his appointment as Special Adviser (SPA) on Party Coordination and Mobilization by His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Governor of Enugu State.

Chief Nweze, this honour reflects your years of dedicated public service and political experience, which you now bring to bear in this new assignment. Oji River LGA is proud to celebrate you as you join the growing list of indigenes of Oji River serving our dear State in various capacities. We celebrate you and pledge our continued support as you take on this new responsibility.

As you step into this important assignment, we urge you to continue being a bridge between the leadership and the grassroots, to strengthen party structures, and to foster the kind of unity and mobilization that will keep our party strong, united, and connected to the grassroots.

The Oji River Local Government Area All Progressives Congress (APC) held its monthly meeting yesterday, Saturday, August 15, 2026 at the Council's Secretariat in Oji River.

‎The meeting was attended by many party leaders, stakeholders, ward executives, women and youth leaders, and party faithful. The gathering served as a key avenue to brief our people on government programmes in Oji River, including the Smart Green Schools built by the administration of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah across the 20 electoral wards in Oji River, to interact with our party members and to restate our collective resolve to advance our great party, APC in Oji River and Enugu State at large. It was heartening to witness the strong turnout and sense of unity demonstrated by our loyal party members.
‎
‎Of particular note was the renewed emphasis on monthly polling unit meetings, a practice that has become a defining feature of APC in Oji River Local Government Area. Ward Chairmen of our great party presented reports from the last polling unit meetings. The reports were encouraging, while identified challenges were discussed and solutions proffered.
‎
‎I urged all members and supporters of our party to remain united, loyal, disciplined, and supportive of the party and government across all levels.
‎
Our party members responded with a firm resolve to give total support to all our party candidates in the forthcoming elections, from top to bottom.

‎I received in audience the State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Enugu State Command, Commandant Elijah Etim Willie PhD, alongside, Deputy Commandant Operations, Oji River Area Commander, Divisional Officers and other officers and operatives of the Corps at the Oji River Local Government Council Secretariat, during his operational tour of the Oji River Area Command.
‎
‎The State Commandant was on a working visit to the Area Command to interface with the personnel of the Corps, hold discussions with me on improving grassroots security, and identify some key challenges for joint resolution. We agreed to work together to address them for the safety of the lives and property of our people.
‎
‎We discussed areas of strong collaboration including but not limited to safe school initiative, curbing illegal mining, peace and conflict resolutions (ADR) and gender-sensitive issues, managing Agri Rangers, Civil Defence clubs in schools, Civil Defence community partnership network, war against vandalism, etc., for improved operational efficiency.
‎
‎The State Commandant commended His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Governor of Enugu State for transforming Enugu to a modern city with improved security. He also commended our administration for the cordial relationship with the officers of the Corps, and for copying our Governor in developmental strides.
‎
‎Further, the Commandant acknowledged our efforts in social development, grassroots engagement and the empowerment of women and youths of Oji River, noting that youth empowerment plays a vital role in reducing crime. He expressed satisfaction with the building of 20 Smart Green Schools in Oji River by His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah's administration.

‎Earlier in my remarks, I reiterated our administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property of Ndụ Oji, consistent with the security initiatives of our Governor. We are sustaining these efforts to consolidate security and safeguard lives and property of people of Oji River.
‎
‎I also briefed them on the accomplishments of our administration, apart from security. These include urban renewal and development, infrastructure, social investments and empowerment, improved service delivery, health and education interventions, grassroots engagement, amongst others.
‎
‎I applauded the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Oji River Area Command for their sustained commitment in safeguarding lives and of private and public property.

Enugu West Senatorial District Rallies Behind His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, As Enugu West Women Welcome the First Lady

Enugu West took centre stage yesterday, August 10th 2026, when the Awgu Local Government Council Headquarters became the venue for the Enugu West Zonal Women's Rally, an occasion organised to welcome the First Lady of Enugu State, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah to the zone.

The event, put together by the wives of the zone's five Local Government Council Chairmen, drew an overwhelming crowd, with women of Oji River LGA turning out in large numbers to receive the First Lady. Alongside the warm reception, the gathering also became a platform for us the Local Government Council Chairmen of Enugu West Senatorial District to reaffirm our loyalty to His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, Governor of Enugu State and confidence in his leadership.

Once again, Oji River lived up to its reputation for turning out en masse whenever the call is made, with our women's presence and enthusiasm setting the tone for the entire rally.

The Chairperson of Oji River LGA, Mrs Uche Anyaegbudike's ability to rally such strong numbers from Oji River was widely commended, and many described it as a source of genuine pride for Oji people, a reflection of the unity and organizational strength Oji River LGA consistently brings to occasions of this nature

In a moment that thrilled the gathering, the Enugu State First Lady, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah stepped out and danced with the women of Oji River. The lively display of the song 'Sweet Mother' drew cheers and a show of happiness from the crowd.

It was, by every measure, a moment of pride for Ndu Oji River, combining a heartfelt welcome for the First Lady with a strong show of political unity behind our Governor's vision.
