Powerful rays flood over as the landscape lighten every blade of grasses,the cloud was as well dark with loud thunder striking the horizon as if fire itself is being poured from a blazing furnace.
that midnight,in the kingdom of "somachi". Mother Adaolisa a fair ravishing beauty in her late 40's was sleeping on bed with her husband ikene.
everything seems to be well for the couple except that they were poor and do not have a child to call their own.Adaolisa always get mocked NY the women in her kingdom because of her bareness.A woman without a child had to leave her husbands house if he is no more.
a more powerful thunder struck,
this time more powerful as a sensation of cold could be felt everywhere.
Adaolisa woke up,
she had just heard the cry of a baby.
she woke her husband up and quickly turn on the local lantern.
in a swift there were outside already.
"Jesus!!!! eeeh!! chineke mooo!!
(oh my goodness)" Adaolisa screamed as she approached a bush path.
"Lisa be careful" ikene said to his beloved wife.
"it's a baby,a new born baby see the placenta is there on the floor,blood everywhere"Adaolisa wept,the thing she has been looking for is what someone threw away like a cheap vegetable.
"Carry him already"ikene said and adaolisa lifted the baby.
the baby stopped crying when the comfort hands of Adaolisa touched him.
"what's that,there's a box!!
Ikene opened the box...lo and behold it contains gold,silver and several gem stones.
ikene quickly close the box and shifted back.The couple look well,there was no paper no identity on the baby...just blood paths.
the couple got scared.
ikene carried the box and rushed back into his tattered house with his wife.
"it's a boy,a cute one...
ummm see his hair...ohh my god his skin"Adaolisa said in awe like she has never seen a baby.
"umm I think we should report to igwe(king)...see the treasures" ikene suggested.
