I extend my heartfelt congratulations to an exemplary leader Sen Gbemisola Rukayat Saraki who has been awarded the prestigious national honors award in Nigeria, the Commander of the Order of Niger (CON).

During her tenure as the Minister of State for Transportation, she initiated several projects aimed at improving the transportation infrastructure in Nigeria. Her efforts have led to the rehabilitation and expansion of several maritime schemes and policies, the supervision of the new Lekki deep sea, and the establishment of inland waterways transportation systems. These developments have not only improved transportation efficiency but have also facilitated economic activities across the country and the safety of our oceans.

As the Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Saraki led a significant revamp of the Nigerian mining sector, which has been a major contributor to the country’s Beneficiation policy. She promoted reforms that improved transparency and accountability in the sector, and this attracted foreign investments, leading to increased job creation and revenue generation for the country.

*Promise made, promise kept - OGZ donates praying mats to Isanlu Isin central mosque.*

On Friday, 19th may during the burial of Mama Oyedepo (Bar Akogun Oyedepo's Mother), many Muslim dignitaries who graced the occasion observed their juma'at prayer at Isanlu Isin central mosque. Among the dignitaries were Prof Wale Suleiman (CON), Alh Attaihu Manko, Otunba Gani Zubairu-OGZ among others.
It was after the juma'at prayersession seeing that the mosque lack adequate prayer mats,that OGZ pledged to donate 50 praying mats to the central mosque on behalf of other stakeholders present.
As a man that keeps to his words, today the 26th of may 2023,OGZ has presented the mats on behalf of other Muslim faithfuls to the mosque. Presenting the praying mats to the chief imam of Isanlu isin, Imam Abdullahi was Mallam Muhideen Sh*ttu, who posited that OGZ has always been a supporter of the masses irrespective of religion or cultural background.
The chief imam of Isanlu isin received the praying mats with great joy and said "it's rare to see someone like OGZ who after the election saga still rise to continue his philanthropic activities. May Almighty Allah bless His intentions"

It is with great pleasure that I received the heartwarming news of the appointment of my brother, Professor Wale Sulaiman (CON), as the Pro-Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun, Osun State.

The appointment is well deserved, as the renowned Neurosurgeon and philanthropist fits the bill due to his qualifications and exposure, zeal for service, and his numerous interventions in the Nigerian health sector.
