The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. _Rt. Hon. Speaker Yakubu Salihu Danladi's Historic Visit to Rwanda_

The recent visit of Rt. Hon. Speaker Yakubu Salihu Danladi and members of the Kwara State House of Assembly to Kigali, Rwanda, marks a pivotal moment in strengthening bilateral ties between Kwara State and Rwanda. This landmark diplomatic initiative underscores the Kwara State leadership's unwavering commitment to international cooperation and development.

During the visit, Rt. Hon. Speaker Yakubu Salihu Danladi held fruitful discussions with Rwandan lawmakers and government officials, exploring avenues for mutually beneficial collaboration. Key areas of focus included economic development, legislative strengthening, and capacity building.

This proactive diplomatic effort showcases Rt. Hon. Speaker Yakubu Salihu Danladi's dedication to building strategic relationships with international partners, unlocking opportunities for Kwara State's growth and development. Yesterday, on behalf of His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq CON, and the entire Kwara State Government, I led a high-powered delegation of the Kwara State Government to Edu Local Government Area to commiserate with our people over the recent attacks by criminal elements that have left several communities in mourning.

I extended our heartfelt condolences to the affected families and communities in Kpandaragi, Bokungi, Guye Dadi, and others. We also paid royal homage to His Royal Highness Alhaji Abdullah Kpotwa Aliyu, Etsu Tsaragi, and His Royal Highness Alhaji Muhammad Kawu Kudu, the Emir of Lafiagi, to express our solidarity and empathy during this painful time.

Our government will not rest until those behind these heinous attacks are completely crushed and peace is fully restored. We remain committed to strengthening the security architecture of our state and leaving no community behind in the effort to protect lives and property.

Governor Abdulrazaq continues to demonstrate decisive leadership in the face of these challenges. Just recently, on Sunday, he met with key stakeholders and reaffirmed the deployment of troops, including the Nigerian Army and forest guards, to comb our forests and communities, and dislodge all criminal elements.

We urge all residents to remain vigilant, cooperate with security agencies, and report any suspicious activity. Security is a collective responsibility, and every piece of information could make a difference.

I thank my colleagues in the House, local government chairmen, commissioners and other officials who joined me on this visit. Our unity is our strength, and together we will rise above these challenges.

May peace return swiftly and fully to Edu and every part of our beloved state.

Honoured to receive the leadership of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) at the Kwara State House of Assembly today.

The visit came with an Award of Excellence in recognition of our efforts on impactful legislation especially in the areas of security, anti-cultism, and anti-kidnapping and our continued support to the Nigeria Police.

Special thanks to the National Assistant Auditor of PCRC, Alhaji Mohammed Uthman Jagunma, and the Kwara State chapter led by Alhaji Adebayo Lawal. I also appreciate SP Toun Ejire Adeyemi, who doubles as the State PCRC Secretary and the Kwara State Command PPRO, for her kind words and encouragement.

We remain committed to doing more to keep Kwara peaceful, secure and progressive.
