‘Tinubu Is 1,000 Times Wiser Than Atiku and Obi’ – Segun Showunmi
Political commentator Segun Showunmi has argued that President Bola Tinubu does not need to visit all 36 states of the federation to secure victory in the 2027 presidential election, claiming that the President is already sufficiently popular.
Showunmi made the remarks during an appearance on Channels Television earlier today, where he compared Tinubu with former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.
“Tinubu is 1,000 times wiser than Atiku, Obi. He will defeat them again. Tinubu doesn't need to visit all states to win; he's popular already,” Showunmi said.
His comments come amid discussions about the strategies political parties and presidential contenders may adopt ahead of the 2027 general election.
Showunmi’s remarks reflect his personal assessment of Tinubu’s political standing and prospects. Whether the President’s popularity will translate into electoral victory remains a matter for voters to decide at the polls.
