Mr. Atorough has a natural business orientation and famously started a business in primary school selling cabin biscuits to his schoolmates using his daily lunch break money! He registered his first company AT & S Nigeria Limited in 1997 to prepare himself early enough for private business. His education, training, knowledge & experience adequately prepared him to venture fully into private business where he has navigated successfully and is currently the Chairman AT & S Nigeria Limited; and Managing Director / CEO of Better-Life Microfinance Bank Limited. AT & S Nigeria Limited is a frontline private sector player in agricultural inputs and machinery, real estate development, and construction; while Better-Life Microfinance Bank is one of the successful microfinance banks with a state license in Benue State.

Mr. Atorough has had a distinctive career in the Banking Industry spanning over two decades and covering core areas of banking such as Accounts, Treasury, Banking Operations, Internal Control, Credit Administration, and Branch Management; as well as a stint in the Insurance industry where he was the Regional Head - North of Linkage Assurance PLC. He has been responsible for the successful initiation and commencement, transformation, or turn-around of over 10 branches across four (4) different banks; an uncommon skill for which he became well-known for; His dexterity saw him become a Branch Manager of a grade-A branch in Mercantile Bank PLC, Eket at the young age of twenty-six (26) in 1994! In the course of his working career, he crisscrossed the length and breadth of Nigeria living and working for many years in locations such as Calabar, Eket, Uyo, Lagos, Kaduna, Jos, Abuja, and Makurdi; with working visits to over a dozen other states in the country. He exited commercial banking meritoriously in 2009 as a Regional Manager.

BRIEF PROFILE OF MR. JULIUS AONDONA ATOROUGH
Julius Aondona Atorough was born on the 23rd December, 1968 into the family of Elder Patrick Atorough Tyough, who hailed from Agbeede in Konshisha Local Government Area of Benue State. He obtained his primary education at St. Anthony's Primary School, Zaki-Biam; and subsequently attended the prestigious Mt. St. Gabriel's Secondary School, Makurdi. He proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in 1990. He also studied at the University of Calabar, where he attained a Postgraduate Diploma in Bank Management in 1993; and also bagged a Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) in 1996 from the same university; specializing in Financial Management and Marketing. In his neverending quest for wider knowledge of universal application; he enrolled for another Masters degree programme in International Relations at the Benue State University, Makurdi, which he successfully completed in 2019. He has attended numerous local and international courses.
